Timothy Gerald's Interests
General |
21+ as far as friend requests go please [sorry, I don't and won't accept friend requests from minors]. Me: I'm primarily ISTJ/ISFJ (I'm one of those rare individuals who have fluctuated between ISTJ and ISFJ. Though I mostly test out as ISTJ, I guess there's been a little bit of a contest between my head and my heart. Interestingly, those who have gotten to know me tend to be surprised at the "I" part. Apparently, if I am comfortable with you, I tend to come across as a little more outgoing). Politically, I tend to lean left. I'm an advocate for civil rights and equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. I support reproductive rights including access to abortion and contraception. Finally, I am an ally to the LGBTQIA community and as such support marriage equality and anti-discrimination protections. |
Music |
Pretty much anything classified as classic album rock: Aerosmith, Foreigner, Rush, Van Halen, Rolling Stones, The Who, etc. I'm also quite partial to the genre classified as 80's music as well. Every once in a while I like to mellow out to soft rock too. |
Movies |
Conclave, The Bikeriders, The Beekeeper, The Fall Guy, Argyle, Oppenheimer, Ferrari, Air, A Man Called Otto, Father Stu These are just some of the movies I've watched in the theater and enjoyed over the last few years. |
Television |
The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, The Last of Us, Special Ops: Lioness (mostly because a relative is in it), currently watching The West Wing on Max. In fact trying to use Max to watch television series I've missed. In that vein, I have watched Boardwalk Empire (which I thought was really good), Succession (not bad), Silicon Valley (ok but expected it to be better). Anyway, other than games shows like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, I really don't watch much TV other than one of the Thursday night sitcoms - currently giving Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage a chance. |
Books |
Mostly non-fiction. Quite a lot of politically oriented books: Peril (by Bob Woodward and Robert Acosta), Rage (by Bob Woodward), A Very Stable Genius (by Carol Leoning and Philip Rucker), I Alone Can Fix It (by Carol Leoning and Philip Rucker), Disloyal (by Michael Cohen), Enough (by Cassidy Hutchinson), Too Much and Never Enough (by Mary Trump), GOP 2.0 (by Geoff Duncan), Renegade (by Adam Kinzinger). Entertainment oriented books: Here's the Story (by Maureen McCormick), brat: an 80's story (by Andrew McCarthy), The Boys (by Ron and Clint Howard), Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing (by Matthew Perry), Stories I Only Tell My Friends (by Rob Lowe). |

Timothy Gerald's Blurbs
About me:
I previously had a spacehey account before but I deleted it because I wasn't using it very much. In addition, at the time, there wasn't anybody I knew using the platform. However, recently a friend found this platform, so I decided to rejoin. If you recognize me or recall me being on your friends list from before, feel friend to friend request me. In the meantime, a little bit about me is shown below. I was born in upstate New York. I started my school life in a Catholic school called St. Michaels in Cohoes, NY. I went there through the second grade. Then we moved to a suburb called Clifton Park. There, I went to the Shenendehowa Central School system until I graduated in 1981. Afterwards, I earned an Associates in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Accounting from Hudson Valley Community College (H.V.C.C.). I then earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business with a Concentration in Marketing from the State University of New York (S.U.N.Y.) College at Plattsburgh. Finally, I have earned twenty-six credits towards a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix-Cleveland Campus. After a couple of brief stints as a Bank Teller and a Customer Service Representative in the state of Maryland, I started my professional career as a civil service Accountant for the Department of Navy at Point Mugu, California. My career has since taken me to Cleveland, Ohio, Orlando, Florida, and St Marys, Georgia. After almost 32 years as a civil service Accountant, I retired from the profession on April 30, 2020. Upon retirement, I moved to Florence, South Carolina and that's where I've been since.
Who I'd like to meet:
Cool people who are nostalgic for the old days of MySpace.
