On my bedside table: poems by Emily Dickinson, Homer's Odyssey, William Wordsworth The Prelude. I like George Simenon, Peter Handke, Thomas Bernhard. Joko Ogawa, Inoue Yasushi, Giacomo Leopardi and so on. In my youth I read Jack Kerouac a lot. I think Visions of Gerard is his best novel. |
