About me:
Who I'd like to meet:
just because i am online and havent responded yet dosnt mean i havent read it yet and im not thinking of you. i have cold feet talking to people but once i get over my shyness i never shut up hahah. expect dead air for days or weeks even. i like imagining im sending hand written letters in the mail here
i really dont want to be a role model to kids, i come to places to meet with diverse people who want sincere connections that the fast paced life out in meatspace dosnt allow. so just no acceptations for this, dont friend me dont message me dont sign my guestbook. i do my best to vet my friends list but if i make a mistake please tell me i try to be strict with this where i can be.
if you cant tell i really like talking in long email length chunks. i do this in dms/ instant messaging and i do it in more public spaces like the comments down below. i know people like to get over being shy by coming to a dm with "hey" or "hi" but that puts all the work to make conversation on me and i like making my little profile as elaborate as i can to give you the opportunity to have as many icebreakers as i can.
go ahead, be brave enough to ask some question you might think is invasive but were in cyberspace where i can give the assumption that you have good intentions and you have the safety of anonymity. i love when people use the connectivity of the internet plus the privacy we can have here to be intimate and kind in ways we just cant have anywhere else. its a special place here, lets make the most of it!!
- separate all of the gifs and static images to optimize the fact that there are over 99 images on this page currently by making every static image one lump of images with a transparent background to look identical to how it is now, so i can then add MORE IMAGES ONTOP OF IT MUAHHAHAHw
- make every single image a clickable link to something related to the image, the source of the image, or some deep cute joke that might understand to only me but its still fun you guys can explore a bit and think about it yourself
- write credits for all the places i learned how to code from, from the physical books, various spacehey users blog posts, and what theme templates i didnt write myself but still tinkered a bit with because i just cant help myself but mess with everything hahaha
- remember to/work up the courage to respond to all the nice interactions i get here and actually make posts
- [03.03.24] added a changelog and felt pretty good about the progress ive made so far over the past year

I can't stop thinking about Brazil. What a fascinating film. its sincerely so fantastic that it was such a sucsess to show what has to be one of my alltime faveorites. ill have to really scrape the memory bank to remember some of the most interesting indi and avantagrd stuff ive been able to see so far and there is a bunch of cult classics that can be controversial and worth watching for that controversy I felt about Breakfast Club similarly to how you feel about Bueller's. It's a movie that I just can't find anyone in the room to relate to. With Bueller's, I have come to like it more and more as time has gone on as a perspective on how malleable our roles in society can be. I was a straight edge in highschool and living a day like a real life Bueller was unthinkable to me. I don't mean stealing cars and impersonating businessmen, just the banality of skipping school and gaming interactions with any officials you don't like. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a movie that points out to me that I can just change up my routines and ways of conceptualizing things like authority, and I like it for that. |

I played this off and on for a few weeks like five years ago and quite enjoyed it, although I was absolute trash. Figured I might mention it, since it's the only rhythm game I know of that isn't very mainstream. haahhaha you know this one is just adorable if you dont mind me saying. |

ty for the add!!. your profile crashed my browser (very positive) so much fucking cool shit,, cool shit overload its always nice when people enjoy what i splattered up here because 2 years ago when i joined it really took alot out of me to just biuld something for myself and not expressly others so it became like a diary and a way to remind and encourage the person i want to be. |

cool website :3 no problem ^W^ by Your_Local_Critter; ; Report also, i added a little doodle to your magma white board :3! by Your_Local_Critter; ; Report AH yes the magma thing, yeah im a little upset they changed their website to be log in requirement after you '""test the website too many times"" and that means they are looking at your ip address and getting cookies and stuff and that spooks me out so ive been on the hunt for a replacement to that because i really like the wipe off board thing |

omg I have never meet such a detailed interactive profile before on this website:0! I probably spent at least an hour on your profile trying everything out lol. It kind of reminds me of Hypnospace Outlaw and Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer(´∀`)♡ @w@ that is such the complement, i love that guy's works for its love letter to the era i grew up in |

Thank you for adding me ( ˶✧。✧˶)੭⁾⁾ YOUR PROFILE IS SO COOOL (•̪ o •̪) I love the style so much oh my gosh thank you! and here you have the strangest falling object css where it sets a delay so they all hang out on the top for a second- how did you figure that out thats so cool! i love how vibrant and animated your profile is so its so sweet you came over here to say something nice about mine heheh Aww thankiesss (づ๑•ᴗ•๑)づ♡ Honestly it took awhile to learn but I love trying to understand HTMLs (๑´>᎑<) Mainly the falling is done with applying the snowfall animation and then adding a delay to each image, I'm glad you like ittt by 「 ❣️ Lil Mess ❣️ 」; ; Report |

I looked through all the images on your page in detail for the first time ever to this album and the two went wonderfully together. oh crud was there a link or something im so curious what album, you mean my silly playlist? "this album" is hyperlinked, it's just hard to tell since it looks like there's only an underline when you're hovering over the link |

You a fan of Garfield minus Garfield? yeah its been one of the first major instances of the post modern-ification of garfeild and cementing him as this internet symbol. |

thanks for the add!! your profile is fantastic, i don't even know where to start. i adore the miss piggy glamour shots and the pumkin & squib gifs! YES HERE YOU ARE ONE OF THE REAL ONES!!! i cant get over how a weird little web animation like baman and piderman has the kind of staying power it really dose have -oh man you just made me realize ive never considered dressing up as them for a con and that is a shame- eheehehhe see this is why i splatter my entire personality like this, it really is a rorschach test for weeding people out finding bold connections eheehe. yeah im still in my muppet phase and the fact that the muppet forum that has existed since early early internet has never shut down and is still regularly active is one of the optimistic things that keep me going and reminds me what i want my time online to be like. ah so wholesome thank you pal <3 WAAHHH SORRY i'm so bad at checking my notifs!!! but seriously, baman piderman & homestar runner will live in my mind forever and ever. my pumkin plush was a dependable friend in college, the whole thing means a lot to me in a very mushy way, ha. and i actually didn't know about that muppets forum, i'll have to seek it out! i always feel like i missed out on those sorts of communities when i was younger, i'm glad to see that other people are also interested in keeping them alive! |

If I was really hungry and you had to correctly guess something available in my kitchen for me to eat it, what would your first guess be?
OH so i could go with something easy and say ramen or eggs, but i feel like tofu is one of those weird shelf safe foods that is so amazing to buy in bulk that its worth mentioning to something here like gosh, totally is a staple food for me and like ANYTHING bean related lasts forever but it was totally unexpected to see that tofu lasts like over a year and its so versatile with how you can make it, and unlike most dry beans you gotta like soak it or some shit to get it to finally be cooking ready, but with tofu if you get those weird little box containers that can go from shelf to pan right away and throw in some miso soup packets and thats like my go to struggle food that i buy in bulk so each meal is less then a buck hahahah -anyways never think your words are frivolous my dear friend, i will respond to the rest of this later after im out of my silly anime convention, i also love the font change. very nice touch eheheheh- well gosh this sounds awfully similar to a full on artist collective hahah
id be more onbord if it WAS through the forums honestly, they are only bad because nobody uses them and when they do its to stur drama I don't think the forums are the move for practical reasons tbh. In terms of UX design, you just disadvantage yourself so much by not using a profile on spacehey. For one, the forums are super high friction in terms of the ratio of navigation to content, so you're just gonna get less interaction by using forums. Worse, no one uses forums very much in the first place, so the amount of discovery for the project would be near zilch without outside promotion. I know that's somewhat of a catch 22, but it's not a catch 22 worth solving because they're bad in terms of functionality imo. Also, on the dog who is so angry that he can't move, i really appreciate the addition of the dog there, with everything being said about keeping things within the containment of spacehey i understand a little more of what you are getting at thanks to that last bit but i still am not quite sure what is actually being asked of me here |

This page is the true definition of "to be loved is to be changed". This is gorgeous work and you're incredibly talented. when i first read this got a little misty eyed i gotta say That's absolutely adorable! It sounds like your girlfriend has really impacted you in an insanely positive way. You guys seems like you've got a strong relationship going. I can tell that you two having each other is for the better. OOH! I HAVE A GUITAR HERO CONTROLLER!!! buddy of mine gave it to me for my birthday, i have played a bit of clone hero and that has a ton of those songs baked into it but it really is a whole experience to have everything on the same console and what have you so absolutely will check it out, i never know what everyone's favorites are and so if i see things at flea markets and such i like knowing what to grab hahaha |

sincerely thank you for takeing the time to actually look through my music that well that you even noticed that Hhahah! yeah i put alot of time into that music list and have been thinking of making a whole personal website to keep track of what was taken down from youtube heh.
YES talk my ear of yes yes, i very frequently just reply to a set number of people who will wander off for months and then send me a long long letter in dms and it really works for my social comfort letting me just take my time like that haha so sorry for coming back to here after a whole month but HERES TO PROOF THAT I CARE heheh

hey dude dont worry about it, take your time n do whatever works for you.
if you make that website it will be awesome and i will definitely bookmark it X3
also re: art thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu so much genuinely :3333 drawing is pure fun for me 90% of the time.
even when i cared more about technical skill and did proper studies on the reg it was still mostly fun because i just love drawing, i love the process. aiming for realism is like a puzzle: figuring out which marks will produce which texture, figuring out the best use of hue and value to emulate light, ect. ect... observational drawing in particular is super fun for me. i just get really lost and immersed in the subject and my attempt at capturing it, i have a whole sketchpad full of figures referenced from life i drew back when my college hosted free figure drawing sessions. i might go thru my things and upload them for posterity if i remember anytime soon. i mean, i still do figures but from images haha. not as often though since its just not as satisfying/fun for me
i looooooove coloring its my favorite part of the process :3 i love trad (but also digital) painting for that reason cuz its really just hue/value, i dont need to worry about starting with clear defined contours like i would in an illustration
but either way caring less about technical prowess stuff makes drawing all the more fun (funner???)! :DDD idk ive been doing this long enough that i have cobbled together a sort of ethos abt art and intuition is crucial, i think. and i believe it is indicative of a different kind of intelligence, as opposed to the variety that is used to apply technical knowledge, if that makes sense????! the first is engaging in cognizant replication of a technique, image, or real life subject, and the is second involves tapping into your own unfiltered perception of what is beautiful (or not)/how you as an individual see things and what you are aesthetically/emotionally inclined to do... like analytical intelligence vs emotional/creative intelligence/capacity for introspection. both are important components with neither being superior to the other, but the former can be very, very tiring mentally xD so i mostly follow my intuition right now, since i just draw for my own relaxation and satisfaction
i feel like in the contemporary world the way a lot of people make and engage with art ends up being contrary to using your intuition and having fun :v im not a fan of the impact mainstream social (twitter and instagram mainly) media sites have had on the art space. by nature of how they work, it conditions the audience to see drawings as consumer objects you glance at momentarily n then dispose of after, and a lot of artists seem to internalize that and see the amount of engagement a piece gets as a reflection of its worth. it makes it hard to hold onto the feelings that made drawing worthwhile in the first place, and, personally, ive seen lots of art styles crop up that are primarily informed not by the artist's own perspectives, choices, sincere inspirations, and intuition, but what they think may help them cultivate a following on Instagram... ? i would rather see hobbyists draw without the pretense of, well, marketing, i guess
lolol im just going on a major tangent now but typing this up kind of reminded of a book i read a while ago, CS Lewis's The Great Divorce. obv hes coming from an explicitly christian moral/philosophical viewpoint (i am not that) but regardless he presents a lot of interesting, albeit exaggerated, mini character studies exploring human faults nd how people can lose sight of good things in favor of *approximations* of good things, which ultimately serve to keep them away from what is truly good. anyway there's an artist character in there that he explores to make a point about people losing sight of why they began making art in the first place due to extrinsic desires. wont go into further detail about the book or what it says haha but yeah i found that chapter in particular very interesting and relevant to me personally
basically i try to keep that stuff in mind to ensure that i dont give up on art or lose what makes it enjoyable LOL
