Thanks for the add. You know, a lot of people don't know this but I was one of the first people - some say the first (probably the first) - back in the MySpace days to say "Thanks for the add." People would say to me "Ronald, you're supposed to say 'Thanks for the addition'. 'Add' is a verb," but I said, "Listen, back in the 70s, everyone in the real estate game talked about purchases, but I called them 'buys'. Soon, they were all copying me, and the use of 'buy' as a noun became a regular part of the English lexington." |
