Hyan's Blurbs
About me:
I'm a very-small-time content creator, I read the news in a fruity voice and generally piss off balding racist, sexist and transphobic incels with simple questions. I also create road signs, occasional logos, center labels and various other strange ephemera that might interest folk of certain ADHD-laden persuasions. I also have a website I barely use at the moment because life is fuckin' hectic. Otherwise, I'm online a lot and I'm also doing a ton of things when my breaker isn't tripped.
Who I'd like to meet:
Drop a line if any of my interests are, well, interesting to you! Same with music, it'd be nice to dish a little and trade some musical interests around as well.

I came across this website and thought of you. |

Your profile refers to ngeneva.net as a memorial site, but I've never understood which part is the memorial? Unless you consider your nationstate to be a largely dead project and you're saying that you keep the site up as a memorial to your nation? That's the assumption I've been operating under, but I still don't feel certain I understand things exactly as they are. well I just got up, I guess the memorial part is to the artist who last had the site some 20+ years ago. honestly, if it wasn't for him I would'nt have done a whole lot more with the internet. right now, it's kinda parked, so to speak. |

Were you on another myspace clone before spacehey popped up, or did you end up here somehow else? I was not, surprisingly. I came here by mysterious forces (read: I don't recall). Just been here and there. Is that something you'd like to do eventually, or do you feel happy with what you have here? Or perhaps you'd like to see more but don't have the time? Or the space? Or the place? all good questions, which I must ponder |

If you could live anywhere, including impossible places like video games, books, etc. Where would it be? idk I keep cycling back to like, small towns and this one specific abandoned house in Thelen. Either that or the NEC Supertower. Jury's still out on that one. Those are defo the two that come to my mind. How would you live in the NEC supertower. Is the fantasy being a CEO/executive character and having the privileged of living in a large office, or are you a big fan of living like a rat and avoiding getting kicked out of a business whose walls you've decided will be your home? I'm hardly the executive type, I just think it'd be a change from a ratty old apartment sometimes. But the house in Thelen speaks a bit more, despite it having been turned to rubble in the last 12 years. the architecture and the 'home' feel are more the point I guess. There's some... flat isolation in Daglum and Thelen. To have a slice of life that's accessible, I wager. |

with notable shame on my part, i don't think i've ever told you that i keep thinking about this segment off of /recollection to the point where i've quoted it in passing when talking with some buds; "Oh, but you can do whatever you want with this site, who cares?" I care. I give enough of a shit to wipe my feet before visiting or staying. It's practically part and parcel of human thought, right next to "don't shit where you eat" and "I wonder if I have a chance with the girl with the club foot and the nice tits", clearly.kudos for putting this onto (digital) paper |

Thoughts on the final selections for the new Minnesota flag and seal? they could do better but it's been design-by-committee. they at least have the right idea in choosing F1953, the others have their flaws in various sorts |

Does your nation use an existing road sign standard, or have you invented your own? Funny you should ask! I've been working on developing a standard for a while now. It takes bits and pieces from Canada, Australia, and the US MUTCD with a few twists. I have in the master sign list: the old Australian W8-1 warning triangle, signs for motorways and expressways, California's "road is over here" large downward arrow, Canada's checkerboard object marker for the end of a road, a drawbridge legend, a trapezoidal EXIT gore sign, Canada lane control signs (white on black), New Zealand-style red-border, white on black text worded signs for trucks, and object markers out the ass. Do you keep track of all of this information in your head, do you produce digital standards documents, or do you document by hand? I'd love to see the systems you've put together if you can easily provide images. All sign images are saved to a folder that I compile off of wikipedia - if the sign does not exist I can likely fabricate it in paint.net as I have definitely moved to using that program more than the old standby (mspaint.exe). As far as a unifying standard in the vein of the MUTCD I have not gone through and reclassified all the signs as of late because of the ol bronchioles having a massive viral fit, and so the list is not exhaustive quite yet. I am always eyeing Caltrans standards because they are quite literally the first system I grew up with, and there are competing ideas as far as mile markers, speed limits, sign arrangements and the like. |

enjoy this bit of vexillological fuckery. some of these designs are great, but good lord, some are just prime stinkers |

Do you ever build out your microstate in videogames or the like? another great question Did you just say that your aspirations for your own nation are influenced by long gone hentai? only in a small part; the name |

Does the "language fuckery" invyour interests include conlanging? Have you written your own, learning one, or are you just interested in the topic? I've tried for decades but it ended up with me learning bits of other languages like German, Russian, Georgian, Kanza, things like that. Really interested in Mongolian square script and I've made a few alphabets anew That is quite involved. All I've done is read about a few conlangs and try to learn toki pona. yeah I'm prone to those when I'm running on fumes |

any flag you perceive as perfect on a strict rules-of-design basis, or just by plain 'n simple aesthetics? (on the flip side, any flags you consider awful for any reason? '89-'15 Provo, Utah comes to mind, personally} god that's a good question, lemme pause youtube here wanted to dedicate some time to staring at these before replying. largely agreed, but early Canada is where you lost me. are we looking at the same flag or...? The 1921 version, not the 1965 version, still talking Red Ensign but different shield in the fly still can't see it. maybe i just subconsciously hate the union jack too much for it to click with me or something. |
