I just love their NZ accent
An angel/alien* once told me the reason why this world is full of pain, suffering, confusion. It's because Earth is the preliminary forging ground for human souls before we are born into the true cosmos, the "full version" of the heavens. The human spirit needs to be tempered, just like making a sword that must be plunged into hot coals to temper it and make it stronger. It may feel like your spirit is needlessly burned and scarred, but never destroyed. This short earth life is only the raw beginning of a long journey.
*It was actually just in a book. Like, an alien didn't teleport into my room or my brain.

No, I haven’t! Yeah in high school I was really into like cool dad music. But yeah weezer was like my first real concert. I mean I hate what they are (it took like 2.3 seconds for them to sell out, I think I read an interview awhile back where rivers is like yeah I just wanna make a ton of money now fuck the art, maybe he was being satirical but how? When it’s so true) but Pinkerton will always be an album I like. And maybe the green album. Okay and make believe. But I swear that’s it! He still makes beautiful, Pinkerton-level songs (i'm not even exaggerating) tons of them - but he doesn't officially release them! |
