Deep Silent Complete Nightwish

General	~~please let me sleep a 100 years.~~
Music	Nightwish, Within Temptation, Eluveitie, Evanescence, Epica, would probably be my first reference. But I enjoy a wide range of genres -- most stuff if I'm in the mood for it. As a little girl I loved listening to the 90's and 00's songs playing on the radio. I still love them today. Early 2000's techno had a special folder in my mp3. It's what I like to dance to in a club now (fat chance though). Back then I also discovered my gothic soul and metal. With the 2010's I fell into the K-pop and J-pop spell for a bit.. ..and now that I'm older, I also actually enjoy my homeland's traditional music that I used to cringe to (think middle-eastern sound). My safe haven consists of celtic folk music, jazz vintage oldies and any-period piano pieces.
Movies	· See the "Television" section below because it applies. · I tend to watch movies and then forget all about them except the feeling of awe and inspiration they instilled. Or if I didn't like them at all. · I also enjoy watching good old-fashioned rom-coms... so, sue me. · Some but not all of my feel-good, nostalgia-fueled, all-time favourites are all the Disney classics (L), 20th Century Fox "Anastasia", "Casper the Friendly Ghost" (the 1950's cartoons in VHS), "Titanic" (1997), and the BBC's 2005 "Pride & Prejudice". · Horror and slasher movies all the way anyday! Oldies of this genre and imitating vintage-style or B-movies are a treasure. I struggle with watching dark psycholgical and psychedelic stuff though. It harms my psyche inexplicably. · Studio Ghibli!!! shout-out to "Howl's Moving Castle", "Spirited Away" and "Castle in the Sky". · "7 Women And A Murder" -- so fun, so safe, so satisfying. One of my more recent comfort movies. Please watch in the original Italian! · Bela Lugosi's "Dracula" of 1931
Television	I'm more of a YouTube dweller and somewhat Netflix consumer. I gravitate towards comedy and light-hearted drama. will also fall for anything on true crime, the paranormal & conspiracy theories, and then probably follow the rabbit-hole online. Anime with amazing or intricate plots and, more recently, Korean TV series, bring me home. I can sit and watch gore like it's funny, but realistic depictions in serious themes of cruelty, brutality and violence actually traumatize me. I don't watch tragedy or heavy drama, 'cause if I wanted that, I'd turn on the news.
Books	reading is my true love, all genres are welcome but I especially enjoy novels about -- · crime and mystery (Agatha Christie style) · fantasy / medieval fantasy · dark fantasy / romance · gothic fiction · religious undertones · historical setting · classical romantic (Jane Austen, Brontë s'ers., Wilkie Collins..) I really enjoy reading about ancient cultures, philosophy, history and religion, too. It obsesses me a little bit.
