Pelecinus Polyturator's Blurbs

About me:

Outsider. I'm probably too old for this site, but I enjoy the nostalgia of the old Myspace days. Although I probably can't recapture that nostalgia anymore. I live in Canada. I am a professional biologist (as in, that is my job title). I specialize in species identification, so I guess I'm more of a biologist/taxonomist. I'm living on a small farm with my 3 cats and small flock of 12 chickens. I love to garden and preserve food via fermenting, pickling, cold storage, drying, and whatever else I can muster. I am trying to convert my 1 acre rural property into purely vegetable gardens, fruit tree plots, and no-mow prairie restoration. I want to garden for wildlife and for food.

I am extremely obsessive about the natural world and have a madness involving the "collection of species", that is, I catalogue every living thing I see and add it to my enormous lifelist (the master list of all living creatures I have seen in my life). This might be some fucking undiagnosed autism shit or something. I cannot relate to anyone in this sense. I also have been a die-hard black metal "elitist" for over 20 years, and proudly gatekeep it. Although black metal has been so thoroughly infiltrated by scene tourists and RABM wanks that there's really no point anymore. Whatever.
A lot of the stuff I post about on here, is just day to day life stuff. Probably considered boring, or completely unrelatable niche interest stuff.
Some bands I've seen live, and have enjoyed the most: Akitsa, Goatmoon, Ride For Revenge, Grand Belial's Key, Graveland, Ifernach, Maestro Croque Mort, Peste Noire, John Maus, Lebanon Hanover, Brighter Death Now, Nachtlich, Antediluvian, Sortilegia, Varathron, Malokarpatan,

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone interesting. I'm not interested in your fucking rap project or your whoring. If I decline your friend request it's because any of the following: Your profile is private. We have nothing in common. Your taste in music is awful. You're obsessed with politics.

Are you a fan of goregrind/grindcore at all? :-)

I was for a brief period in my teen years, but am pretty bored of it these days --- unless we're talking about Anal Cunt :P

Anal Cunt is total sickness. I think they're a good laugh! Too bad most find it too "childish" to listen to unironically :P

Yeah, a great laugh! Coming to think about it, I like a band called Konflict, from Sri Lanka. They're grindcore/black metal (I guess?), and actually not boring. Give it a shot if you don't know them already! I think I'm more inclined to enjoy grindcore when it's got a black metal flavour to it, haha.

Tornados and land slides -- fuck yeah. And yeah, I'm trying to design my home in a mix of entirely art-nouveau and rustic cabin. It's oddball but it's a work in progress!
