Nightfall's Interests

General	Lots of interests scattered all over the map: -film buff, especially film noir, and while classic movies remain my first and foremost love, I also watch a lot of the latest releases on streaming platforms - history buff, and more specifically ancient Egypt, the long 18th century (especially France and Russia), the state city and Republic of Ragusa - baroque and art deco art and architecture - I used to play the piano and would love to get back to that, as well as learn to play harpsichord and harp (in next lifetime, perhaps??) - food, as in cooking, baking, experimenting with new recipes, cuisines, any new stuff I find in stores, coffee, wine, mixology bars - books, music, movies, gaming, hanging out on the “old web”, jigsaw puzzles, colouring books, stickers, plushies - cats - absolutely crazy for kitties!!! - environmentalism, animal protection, sustainability, degrowth - metaphysics - nature, long walks, trips to the countryside/seaside/beach days, exploring historic ruins and stately homes (no shortage of those here, luckily for me), camping, hiking, and hopefully surfing soon too - mermaid aesthetics, cyberpunk, dark fantasy, elements of goth culture all appeal to me - dance is a huge passion; I have been learning to shuffle dance and while no longer a novice, still a long way to go before I master it
Music	Everything and anything from baroque and classical music, jazz to the latest pop, though mostly EDM and dark synth nowadays, especially for electro shuffle. I watch Eurovision, for yearly dose of Eurotrash and voting drama. Favourite artists: Billie Holiday and Lana Del Rey
Movies	Blade Runner, Tron: Legacy, LOTR trilogy, Carlito’s Way, Etoile, Mullholand Drive, Sunset Boulevard, Rebecca, Senso, Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, Desert Fury, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Eye of the Devil, Winter Light + at least a hundred more.
Television	Batman: The Animated Series, Bunnicula, Sherlock, Feud, Big Little Lies and a few more.
Books	Favourite book: “Rebecca” by Daphne du Maurier. Currently reading “Parable” series by Octavia Butler. Not even going to attempt to type the rest…..the list is a mile long.
Heroes	None for me, thanks.

Hello friends! Welcome to my new profile! I have tried to flesh it out a bit more this time, so you may get a better sense of me as a person, even though I am often contradictory. I am most definitely one of the older people here, just turned 50. Married. INFJ personality type according to Myers-Briggs. Introverted, introspective, preferring to observe from the sidelines. I enjoy solitude and time spent immersed in my inner world. Day dreamer - night thinker - wine drinker. 🍷
