About me:

Fade, the brand new album from Sonohara—the brainchild of vocalist and producer Sarah Westervelt—is the soundtrack to that inevitablity. A furious mix of breakdowns and melodies, as well as raw and unapologetic emotion, Fade blurs the line between chaos and beauty in Sonohara's most ambitious and emotionally charged release so far. Influenced by the golden era of the scene, Fade captures every ounce of heartbreak, anger, hope and desperation, all with an intensity only this band can bring to the table so unrelentingly.
Every song on Fade serves as another page in a story: one of broken relationships, inner demons, and trying to take back your life when the world seems hellbent on dragging you down. Combining explosive rock anthems with haunting ballads that all refuse to let go long after the final note is played, Fade, in true Sonohara fashion, never settles for simply being heard—it demands to be felt, both as a love letter to an era, as well as a declaration that the era's spirit is far from dead: Fade is the rebirth of a sound that inspired a generation, now reimagined for a new one.
