I'm 17 and from the US. I'm diagnosed with high functioning autism (in other words, the kind of autism where you are good enough at hiding it to function in society). I collect vinyl records and most of my favorite music is depressed British rock bands.

they definitely are the best at making depressing music. not just sad, but really emotionally powerful. if i had to eat what they do and have grey skies all the time i'd probably write things as depressing as they do. maybe i should go there for inspiration LOL

yeah the UK does have some pretty cool stuff like how old some of the buildings are and had some pretty great minds like alan turing and john locke

im actually taking ap european history as a class right now, so ive been learning about england's interesting past... you mentioning john locke just reminded me of that loll. the architecture is gorgeous though, especially the cathedrals. i would love to visit

so this is pretty funny to me but there was a war in europe around 1618ish, i think, called the Thirty Years' War (religious and territorial conflicts), and it all started because some Protestants through some Catholics out the window because they were pissed lol. there's actually a real word for it, defenestration...
