hiking, fishing, drawing, painting, whittling, leatherworking, repairing electronics, classic cars, maintaining various collections (favorite of which are cassette tapes, vhs tapes, and fish-themed keychains), world history with a focus on the cold war, playing guitar/harmonica/stylophone, aliens, and generally doing all I can to put off my job hunt.

Music

allll sorts of stuff. I tend to gravitate towards new wave, disco, funk, jazz, country, blues, classic rock, and stuff that derives from all of that. I prefer dance-able stuff but I do like more morose or moody stuff so long as the bass is good. my favorite band of all time is talking heads and the albums I am currently listening to the most are 'controversy' by prince and 'make it big' by wham!.

Movies

COOL WEIRD SHIT! the more surreal or gross or absurd or visually striking the better.

Television

TWIN PEAKS!! my favorite thing ever. also the x-files, star trek, columbo, the twilight zone, and tales from the crypt.

Books

historical nonfiction, literary classics, pulpy horror and pulp detective/crime novels
