I usually make sweet tea by boiling hot water and pouring it in a pitcher with several tea bags. I usually use black tea bags, but if you use Earl Grey tea bags you can have sweet tea that tastes like fruit loops! They have cold brew tea bags, where you can steep them in cold water, but I prefer the boil method.
Leave the teabags until the water turns dark brown.
Then add desired amount of sugar, it really depends on how sweet you want it. Most people I know do 1 cup per gallon of tea, some do more, some do less.
Stir the sugar into the steeped tea after removing the tea bags. Be sure to do this while the tea is still warm, so the sugar properly dissolves.
Fill the tea pitcher the rest of the way with water (Skip step if you used the cold brew method you can just fill the pitcher all the way from the beginning)
And there you have it, Sweet tea <3

hey guess what. i did it. i didn't take a picture because i used green tea and it looked like a cup of pee rather than sweet tea, but i'm feeling very enlightened!!! i'm going to go out tomorrow and get black tea because that looks to be the most common, or most nice looking LOL. anyway i'm going to have fun perfecting this. i didn't realise how normal sweet tea was and now i feel insane for not having tried it sooner. tysm!! perfect for summer!!
