Vostok's Interests

General	History (mainly the Soviet Union, Alexander the Great, East Germany, World Wars, and British history from Anglo-Saxon period onwards), languages, politics, reading, the arts (fine art, music, literature, film, etc.), old video games, subcultures, britcoms. I'm also really interested in my own padawan braid. Big fan.
Music	My favourite artists are Shostakovich and Einstürzende Neubauten. Genres I like: Contemporary classical, Soviet avant-garde, musique concrète, 80s synthpop, 70s-80s industrial, neofolk, rock and roll, experimental, metal (black, death, thrash, heavy, folk), punk, eurodance, skiffle, shitty 00s pop, swing jazz, post-war country...etc.
Movies
Television	I love older britcoms (70s-90s) and anything with Rik Mayall. The Young Ones, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Comic Strip Presents, Bottom, The New Statesman, Red Dwarf, The Thick of It, Blackadder, The Office UK, etc. I also like a few sci-fi shows such as Doctor Who (classic and nuwho) and Star Trek up to DS9.
