Hello, you aren't bothering me! I'm sorry that I saw this so late.
I apologize if you've already seen what I list off, since I'm not sure which ones you have I mostly only watched the popular ones really

I'd say the BEST I've seen are: Marble Hornets (obligatory hyperfixation recommendation), The Walten Files (first piece of media to genuinely scare me in years), Local 58, Daisy Brown and Lacey's Games.
I only partially watched these, but heard they're great: The Monument Mythos, Petscop, Vita Carnis, Gemini Home Entertainment, This House Has People in It (you might have seen this one).

None of them have gore iirc, with the exception of Marble Hornets which has mild gore which is not shown in detail, and Walten Files which has technically heavy gore, but the art style is far from realistic, so it didn't really upset me. Although I think Vita Carnis probably does, since it's literally about living flesh. But what I saw from it so far wasn't too upsetting aside from looking gross or generally unpleasant.

These are all kind of basic, but honestly I don't disagree with the notion that the genre is oversaturated. A lot of series I watched and just didn't feel much, so I'm kind of picky! The ones I consider best are the ones who either scared me most or made me the most emotional.

OMG!! I used to be a big fan of The Walten Files, i rlly need to get into it again. I've heard of Local 58, I think I saw a clip once but i completely forgot about it, and LACEY GAMES OMG!! I've seen most of the videos, i loved them sm. it's honestly one of the few media that has terrified me, i loved it a lot. (however it makes me angry when people make knock-off games based of the series without creator's permission).

And Petscop!! i was watching it once, but something triggered me very badly and i stopped, i just got really traumatized at something i haven't been able to pick it up again, it's just something disturbing that i heard and now i just can't see it again :( it was cool but... i srly can't keep on it.

"This House Has People in It" one of my fav youtubers made a video about it, i should check it!!

It's no problem! I totally get the Petscop thing. There's a lot of stuff I've had to drop due to triggers too. I'm glad I was able to give some good suggestions though. Local 58 is honestly a must watch in my eyes, I remember I first watched one video from it when I was like 12 and it stuck with me forever haha, it set a lot of the tropes for future analog horror.

It's no problem, and thank you!! :) I don't know as many analog horror series nowadays, I guess I lean more towards digital horror now, but I definitely appreciate the classics, they're always nice to revisit! Also, I have heard great things about Unedited Footage of a Bear, it's about time I check it out...
