About me:
Harry Mason is a highly acclaimed drummer and composer hailing from the Central
Coast of NSW, Australia. With a career that spans over a decade, Mason has made
a name for himself in the Australian jazz scene, collaborating with esteemed
musicians and performing at renowned venues. His latest venture with Nocturnal
Mystery showcases his versatility and artistic evolution, as he delves into the
realm of vampiric black metal. With a musical journey that began at the age of
16, Harry Mason quickly established himself as a prodigious talent, performing
alongside esteemed musicians from the Australian jazz scene. Collaborating with
his brother Ollie Thorpe and father Dorian Mode, Mason honed his skills in local
bars, cafes, and jazz clubs, leaving audiences captivated by his mesmerizing
performances. Notable collaborations include renowned artists such as John
Conley (Galapocus Duck), Andrew Wilkie (Tapdogs), Jason Morphett, Guy Strazz,
Rodric White, and Ashley Turner. While Harry Mason is recognized for his
contributions to various bands, including The Odd Mods (Blues/Jazz trio) and
Build Your Horses (Indie Rock), it is his latest endeavor with Nocturnal Mystery
that has garnered significant attention. Formed in September 1011, Nocturnal
Mystery is a powerful black metal band that pushes the boundaries of the genre.
Teaming up with Lord Nocturnus, an exceptional Cherokee American-Indian extreme
metal guitarist/vocalist, Mason has embarked on a new artistic direction that
showcases his versatility and creativity. Gnosis of Lilith, the latest album
from Nocturnal Mystery, is a testament to Mason's artistic evolution. With three
full-length albums already under their belt, the band has crafted a collection
of tracks that delve into the depths of darkness and mysticism. The album's
haunting melodies, intricate drumming patterns, and atmospheric compositions

I checked out your albums on spotify after I saw your profile/request, I really liked them. Definitely can hear the Foo Fighters influence in your tracks, really great stuff! Would love to see your band live sometime, I frequently visit the Basement in Canberra for gigs, they have some brilliant bands play there often. I'll be putting out a new album and hopefully a state tour early next year, and will definitely do a gig at the Basement, i'll let you know when those dates are set. Ahh yes :) I've been a fan of them for a while, I discovered them through the Australian Black Metal record label Seance Records when they did a review of their album Charnel Noir back in 2021, they are like a modern-day version of Type O Negative, only better in my opinion. Brilliant band!
