the only lugia merchandise i have is half of the lugia legend card (#114) i got when i was 9 years old and my dsi case (both heavily beaten up from childhood, but i couldnt bring myself to part with them, theyre just too sentimental)

OK the DSi case is cool as fuck.. I get it though, my childhood consoles are all gored up and missing limbs lol
The best Lugia day ever for me was finding the neo genesis lugia card for around 70 on ebay when it goes for around 200 usually. Very good condition... I will kiss the surfaces it touches. My precious..
Also Azelf does look very silly and stylized on my pfp so I get it..

its missing one of the zips but still holds my dsi and game cartridges so i cant complain lol
i completely understand btw, my ps2 is in desperate of a need a new laser because the old one needs to be recalibrated every 6 months lol. i dont mind it though, ive always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together, i actually fixed my old dsi that had been broken for god knows how many years by replacing the network card. it was so rewarding seeing part of my childhood come back to life
in terms of pokemon card collecting, id love to buy certain cards but i just cant justify dropping 20-100 on something like that. as an adult ive just made a point out of treasuring the ones i have (that being said, if i could buy the other half of the lugia legend card, i think id be making my inner child very happy)

Ohhh that's dope as fuck. I've never taken anything apart, my biggest achievement is homebrewing my 3DS lolol, and that already gave me a big hacker rush so I can imagine how accomplished you must've felt reviving your dead DS
I totally get that, I don't buy cards often but when I do it's like a treat... I bought some yesterday after 6 months.. I also like buying japanese boosters because they're super cheap and the drop rates for rare cards are better, it gives me the same rush as in my childhood
Too bad scalpers and the logan paul craze made pokémon card collecting such an expensive hobby, it's basically like crypto/gambling
