this needs to be updated... Unfortunately, I never really invested much time for most tv shows or films, and I used to be an avid reader when I was younger. feel free to recommend any shows/movies/books!!

About me:
• Hi! You can call me Val or Cece here. Welcome to my profile :D • I'm just some guy in university trying to tap into her interests instead of daydreaming about them. In my free time I like to try to mash stem and the arts together like little figurines.
Who I'd like to meet:
I've either scrolled aimlessly, lurked, or just kept in touch with ppl I already know irl on the internet most of the time. It would be nice to reach out and meet new people online! esp other ppl around my age. Just be kind to others, I won't stand for bigotry.
I might not initiate convos much and be a bit awkward, but I'm happy to chat! especially something less instantaneous like in the comments, blog posts, or bulletins. It might take me a while to reply or accept your request, so please expect some delay, sorry!!
if we haven't talked much/unfriend you -- it's nothing personal!! feel free to reach out again whenever.

first time in a hot minute that i've stumbled upon a table of interests that's overwhelmingly cool. big kudos for that alone. handful of dumb annoying inquiries to prod further in that regard;

I love Lupin III \^_^/ Aw sweet!! I watched the Fuma Conspiracy not too while ago. Dx I haven't caught up with the latest of the show yet so I'm still around part 4, it's growing on me as a fav so far! Dude, 6's premise with going against Sherlock Holmes sound so sick tho It was really fun! You’ll enjoy it! \^_^/ just make sure to take your time with the series! Lupin is episodic so it’s best not to watch a lot at once!!! You’ll get burn out!!!! |
Hi! First of all, thank you for your kudos!! I'm a bit unsure on what else to say other than that I really appreciate it <:] But it more importantly, ty for asking about them!! It took some time and ended up a little brief, but I enjoyed writing out the answers & can elaborate more:
1) Oh! This happened to me with Perfect Blue back in autumn. At that point in time I never really knew much of Satoshi Kon or watched any of his films, although I was aware of some of his works independently, such as Paprika and Paranoia Agent. It was like at midnight while I was catching up on my calc assignments when it caught my curiosity after seeing the art from the movie. yeah I know how the film is going to go but oooomg
2) Album-wise, I think I hold SAW 85-92 and II to, like the same level of enjoyment. They're like minerals and plants to me. I also rlly like drukQs and its juxtaposition between the piano pieces and the D&B-esque tracks.
3) Unfortunately (or maybe thankfully?) I never got around to tinkering much with Source yet, although I did play around with Source Filmmaker a tiny bit years ago. I am blissfully oblivious and comfortable with my knowledge of basic postermaking with simple posing and lighting manipulation, but I did hear of its many horror stories when it comes to animation and everything else that the software offers to you.
4) Karate Man is very memorable. Shout out to Love Lab for researching what love is and also inventing love itself. As for Rhythm Heaven Fever, Flock Step has always been a fav.
5) I might follow-up on this later mainly b/c I only started FONV not that long ago, so I'm actually not yet at the point in the game to have completed several different playthroughs of the game and still gathering info abt lore and working out implications. Currently not on bad terms with the NCR but ehhh. I'm preferring an independent Vegas.

always happy to prod outta nowhere. what are profiles if not oversized conversation starters? ( ̄ω ̄ )
Kon's works've eluded me a dozen times over in spite of looking / sounding really good; i think i owe it to myself to reserve a saturday to Perfect Blue at the least, considering i've heard more praise directed towards it instead of Paprika or any of his other works. thanks for unintentionally motivating me to get 'round to it, i suppose!
valid take. tidbits such as Avril 14th moving onto Saint Michel invoke a vibe i can't quite put into words, but it's, er... comedic in a really catchy way, i guess? yeah, sure
nothing to add here except for "good." some avenues are best left unexplored.
exceptionally funny response because i find myself on the polar opposite side of the spectrum, sorta; i adore Lockstep for how simple yet weirdly difficult it ended up being—rare case in which it's actually easier to get a Perfect than a Superb because the former is a fair bit more lenient by virtue of actively allowing offbeat inputs; case in point—but i enjoyed Fever's version of Karate Man way more if only because I'M JUST A MAN is effectively burned into my brain
i'll shut my trap here for the sake of not giving away too much if you're still getting a feel for what the factions are like and what Vegas'd thrive best with, but i will say you're on the right track (subjectively, anyway—it's by design that there's really no 'perfect' answer). perhaps reconsider your stance on NCR, however; is a return to Old World politics and hierarchies reaaaally the way to go in a substantially(!) different environment?
all cozy answers! i think the only follow-up i'd ask about here is which Remix you enjoyed most between DS and Fever, but aside from that, i am Content™. really nice to read through. ^^

I'm liking the idea of having the comment section as a bit of a hub for convos! It's definitely a different feel than the more instant messaging that I'm more used to. It feels pretty worthwhile to have and strike a balance between both experiences :]
& I'm happy to have sparked some motivation in checking out Perfect Blue! I'll try and pester you about any thoughts on the movie sometime if you have watched it! if I remember to do so lol
Both renditions for Lonely Storm in Fever are such good tracks! Karate Joe has been iconic ever since his debut in Rhythm Tengoku tbh
On FONV, I did notice that sometimes, or if not a lot of the times, there's no perfect answer. & having a peek at how it is accounted in the ending slides, it's compelling to me as a game and its storytelling. Yeah and for the NCR, they're not a side I look favorably.. I agree! A lot has changed for the Mojave (& the post-war US), are the old-world, pre-war values are systems really something to uphold? and the further I played the game and worked through the dialogue and side quests, more of their corruption, bureaucracy and imperialism gets revealed and that early-game naivete gets worn away.. and there's more for to learn abt the game still
As for fav remixes, I like the ones that you play a bit later in the game. I think Remix 8 with the Rhythm Rally & Dog Ninja intro/outro is cool, the gameplay is essentially very similar/the same to eachother? but having to quickly switch btwn the two is a fun challenge. Not to mention the how music kicks up a notch when you reach the part with Lockstep. Remix 7 is also rlly cute, I love the Fan Club sections :] I also love the music and visual style for Remix 9 in Rhythm Heaven Fever! another contestant for my fav intro/outro

part of, if not the reason why i feel like every interaction's a lil' more enjoyable here, pretty much! as for Blue; ETA on that's most likely this weekend, so if i don't respond to this thread by monday with a half-essay length rundown on how and why i enjoyed it, feel free to prod me with a pointy stick :p
it's almost criminal how many bangers Tengoku put out, Joe aside. Spaceball, Bon Odori, SamSlice, and Night Walk are all so damn good, and those're just within the first half of the game(!!!)
spot on. Obsidian did an astonishingly good job of following in the original duology's footsteps by way of continuing the whole grey-area vibe without overdoing it. it's something that FO3 and FO4 did decently, but more in bursts, less as an overarching type of thing. also, NCR's end-route is pretty funny the further you get into it, i feel—there's a couple of segments where it almost seems like the game itself is pleading with you to maaaaaybe have an on-second-thought moment and head over to like, any other ending instead, lol. except Legion. send those guys head-first into hell
R8 is absolutely peak!! bar none my fave remix precisely because of what you mentioned; the inputs are by and large in-time (4/4 @ 171~220 BPM, with the Rally/Ninja swipes/hits all being on every second beat), but you'd fail to notice that on your first run or two, or several because the speedy switches just throw you off-course a fair bit. and that's without mentioning how friggin' catchy the remix itself is!!!
concerningly big fan of Fever's R9 as well, but for diff, mainly lyrical reasons—nothing emits pure seratonin in my brain as much as that backing track/input cue intersection between
Some day, you'll find yourself and realize that /you're beautiful/!
andIt's /up to you/!
- iffy to depict in text, but you've prolly heard that segment enough times to know what i mean :vby Ikoe; ; Report
