is it true that working with Hammer makes you susceptible to extreme headaches and long-term brain damage? (also, have you been made aware of H++?) it is true, and the blood vessels in my brain may never fully recover. i only use hammer++, yet i still am tormented so by the very limitations of the source engine. condolences. i vividly recall the amount of holy-shits i spouted upon seeing how little you actually had to work with in baseline H, chief among that the fact that in-editor rendering just does not exist. feels as though Valve is a company of masochists. Mostly just the amount of work that needs to be done to make complex shapes, and not being allowed to make concave shapes at all just makes it worse. That and the ever looming threat of your map leaking. In many ways hammer is incredibly intuitive but the arbitrary limitations like those just make it such a headache. |
