About me:

SpaceHey: Nice to be here! Was once quite active on Myspace. My old Myspace profile via the Wayback Machine.

I'm a researcher of comparative religion, spirituality and mystics, East and West, a collector of sacred texts and the discourses of spiritual Masters, and practice Inner Light and Sound Meditation. Am conspiring to make the world more peaceful, vegan, and spiritually awake. If you scroll far enough down the page you'll see some of my Spiritual Awakening Radio podcasts at Youtube.

This is a safe space for those who seek to break free from oppressive traditions, those who meditate, mystics, soul travelers, off-worlders, inner space explorers, vegans and vegetarians, those who seek to make the world a more compassionate inclusive place.

Also see my SpaceHey Blog for spiritual quotes, podcast announcements, and sometimes I like sharing fun tunes from the world of ambient music, world music, psych, prog rock, metal, etc... I produce a couple of music shows for community radio stations and occasionally share playlists of those here.

NOTE: WILL NOT ADD IF: * you are under 18, * no age is listed on your profile, or if * you have no profile picture.

I'm here to meet spiritual seekers, mystics, those into meditation, gnosticism, western or eastern mysticism, Friends of God, satsangis, devotees, bhakas, brother and sister initiates of Inner Light and Sound, mellow mystic souls, gnostics, friendly souls on the Road-Less-Traveled, Lovers of the Beloved (the Formless Ocean of Love, Lord of the Soul).

58 Minute Clockwork Orange-ish type mind-bending music film from The Dream Syndicate - The Universe Inside (Full Album)!

Downtuned Mystic Metal from Sabbath City (Birmingham, UK) by the band Alunah, earth-based and based!

Pascal Languirand is one of the founding musicians of the electronic ambient space genre.

I just can't get enough of this prog metal tune by Fates Warning, Begin Again.

Lost Children of the Universe by Star One, another Dutch prog metal project by Arjen Anthony Lucassen.

Follow the Sound, a contemporary psych tune from The Dolly Rocker Movement.

I Talk to the Wind by King Crimson, the king of the prog rock genre, from their legendary 1969 debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King.

The Dutch prog metal band Aryeon created by Arjen Anthony Lucassen.

Here you will find spiritual quotes, Words of Light and Love for the Spiritual Journey – Bhakti (Love) of the Inner Light and Sound of God. This Living Gnostic School of Spirituality from India is called Sant Mat, the Path of the Masters.

"Blessed are the souls who in today’s materialistic world have an inclination towards spirituality." (Swami Sant Sevi Ji Maharaj)

I also share announcements for my Spiritual Awakening Radio Podcast.

Seven Things I Believe (and Experience) By James Bean

1) God is Real.

2) God is Love, the Ocean of Love and Compassion.

3) All of the world scriptures teach about the same manifestation of God as inner mystical Light and Sound.

4) Our true identity is soul, the Self. Soul is part of God and therefore is, like God, pure love.

5) During this human existence we have an opportunity to experience God.

6) As we experience communing with God's love during meditation -- Surat Shabd Yoga, we can rise above body-consciousness and explore Inner Space, the "Kingdom of the Heavens" that are within us. "We travel back from the realm of Darkness to the realm of Light, from the Light to divine Sound, and from the realm of Sound to the Soundless State [Anami, Radhaswami, Anadi Purush, Ram]." (Swami Sant Sevi Ji Maharaj) The drop merges back into the Ocean of Love.

7) As we get initiated into the Mysteries of the Spirit by a Living Teacher (Master, Sant Satguru), the purpose of our life is fulfilled. Reuniting with God is our reason to be here: "It was for the sake of the God-conscious beings that our True Lord created this earth, and began this play of death and birth". (Adi Granth) Kabir says: "For millions of years you have slept. This morning, will you not wake?"

"All beautiful forms and tones of this world are mere reflections of some aspect of that ultimate Love-Music of the Great Creative Word. Within the vast complex of creation, each individual spirit is himself/herself a spark of that Eternal Song of Love."

"There are those who have wandered among the darting comets and the shimmering orbs of sounding fire. The soul-explorer is not alone, for there are those who have traveled the highways of the inner cosmos; far more than one may at first realize."

"...The planes of heaven are about us everywhere. One has only to know this simple truth consciously, and then we will be free." (George Arnsby Jones)

I love your original myspace page! Your profile is super interesting. Do you believe in ego death? Thanks for the add!

Report Comment

Greetings. Yeah, the old Myspace had a huge population so it was easy to be authentic, let it all hang out and share even rather esoteric beliefs come what may. Not everyone's into it but that's OK. I've also belonged to small social networks with a strong leader-founder. Those are quite the opposite, with it being like a cult and all the members are part of the owner's personal "harum" so to speak. If the owner likes your political views, agrees with your diet, resonates with your beliefs, you get to stay. If the owner of the site doesn't like those things, one day that username and password mysteriously no longer works, lol. SpaceHey's owners are closer to Tom of Myspace expecting all sorts of people to join, from all walks of life and states of consciousness, to live and let live. The closest thing to Myspace. Myspace reincarnation. On ego... I believe ego is associated with mind, and, beyond the brain, the mind is a subtle body associated with it's own realm that will outlive the physical body. Thus ego is part of the journey for awhile, transcended far along in one's journey. Eventually the subtle bodies will be transcended, astral, causal, mental and etheric, and one is just the naked soul free of all coverings. What's called the "I Am That" stage (in the 4th heaven) of self realization, a stage of meditation. So ego is with us for awhile yet, even beyond this life and into the higher planes. Those who claim to be beyond ego in the world of metaphysical paths I tend to distrust. Sorta like someone bragging about being humble. :) I do tend to favor the low ego displaying spiritual teachers, the soft-spoken, the non-intrusive that value everyone's free will, sounding like they've been meditating recently and maybe the soul is dominant, is shining through.

by SantMat; ; Report

Thanks for your answer! Yes, I've heard many say they distrust those who claim to be above ego. I've also heard that it is impossible to not have an ego at all, which makes sense to me. I will definitely check out your blog!

You've got some great picks in music artists man! I didn't find out until recently that Dolly Rocker Movement split like 10 years ago. Bummer :/

Chill profile btw

Greetings. Thanks for friending. Yeah, I really like the The Dolly Rocker Movement and plan on giving them more radio airplay in the new year. Have been getting into psych more and more lately. The BloodMeridianRedux channel at Youtube is one of my sources for finding new bands. Often they create videos using obscure tracks from Bandcamp.

Welcome! I took a peek at your website also. I'm fond of the original Internet, was part of the old Myspace, used to be at Geocities. These days, Groups IO is a message board site similar to the old Egroups and Yahoo Clubs/Yahoo Groups. I'm especially a fan of the Internet Archive and upload podcasts there, also books. They were offline for awhile but are bouncing back. That's such an important site.

by SantMat; ; Report

YES!! The IA is one of my favourite and I think one of the most important sites on the internet.

It is our modern day Library of Alexander with how much rich history, culture, and information it holds for us. I need to make a donation to them after the attack on them the past couple weeks

Thanks for the add! You have great taste. Definitely not every day you run into someone who knows The Dream Syndicate on here. How do you feel about bands like The Durutti Column and The Legendary Pink Dots?

Nice to virtually meet you and enjoy your weekend! :)

Great connecting. Am new to Spacehey but was a long-time Myspace user and missed it a lot when it morphed into something else and faded. I still have some blank Myspace profiles but that site is sorta mothballed and locked down altogether.

Haven't heard of The Durutti Column but do remember Legendary Pink Dots from college radio. I could give some of their tunes radio airplay. Am always looking for material for my local radio shows here.

Thanks for adding me. Doing great. Hope you are too. Yeah, so nice finding this place, a new incarnation of Myspace. Not going for a layout but essentially have now finished adding a little code for some Youtube videos I've given radio airplay to, also podcasts from my channel. Will also be adding blog entries here on a regular basis. Fun to share!
