General

Reading, coding, genealogy, gardening, comics. Seriously, I'm ADHD so there isn't much that doesn't pique my interest. I read a lot. I have a study. I don't use the term "Man Cave." Usually that connotation denotes the wife/spouse/SO/female isn't allowed or where the man goes to get away. I don't need nor want to get away from my wife. I *do* have my desk/workstation, shit ton of books, my comic collection, assorted artifacts (100+years old), and assorted other things in my study.

Music

Everything but "modern" country (80's-90's to now). I like jazz, blues, oldies, rock, hard rock, metal, classical, opera, whatever. Movies

Action, westerns, sci-fi, documentaries, chick flicks, comedy... Some of my favorites: Schwarzenegger: Red Heat is almost forgotten. Solid 80's action with wisecrackin Jim Belushi. Commando is another favorite. Did Schwarzenegger or Stallone do any bad films in the 80's? (The answer you're looking for is "no.") Must Love Dogs. This is just a wonderful film from start to finish. Diane lane is perfect (in nearly everything) and so is Cusack. Under the Tuscan Sun. Saw this movie a whole lot of years ago and just fell in love with everything about it. The Matrix (and trilogy). I am not a band-waggoner. I don't see or like things just because the masses do. I was working in a video store when this came out. My gf said her brother saw this at the theater so many times and that I would like it. I put it off. Then watched it one night. Oh. My. God! I was floored!! I'm looking forward to the new ones. John Wayne - The Searchers, Rio Bravo, The Cowboys, Island In the Sky. Jimmy Stewart - just about any film. He did such amazing movies and storytelling.
