Patrick (EmoShep)'s Interests

General	musician, a gamer, and a bit of a weeb. also interested in fantasy, art, videography, philosophy, history, and politics.
Music	specific bands that might give you an idea would include: Death, Exodus, Dream Theater, Crimson Moonlight, and Iron Maiden. in addition to heavy metal, i also really enjoy folk music, ska, jazz (big band), and some punk rock. (Hip hop and electronic music are also interesting and enjoyable, though I'm afraid I haven't delved too deep into either just yet.)
Movies	movies... movies... a few examples come to mind. The Lord of the Rings (yes), Scott Pilgrim VS. The World, Enemy at the Gates (in spite of its historical inaccuracy), Silence, and Deathgasm/Heavy Metal Apocalypse.
Television	i suppose this is obvious, but i really like anime. some favorites include: K-On!, The Promised Neverland, Toradora!, Fairy Tail, and Moriarty the Patriot. outside of anime, I also enjoy things like: Stranger Things, Game of Thrones (minus the last 3 episodes, good lord), The Last Kingdom, and Narcos.
Books	very big fan of manga in addition to anime. some favorites are: Berserk, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, and Kimi ni Todoke. in terms of more "traditional" books, my favorites thus far are: "A Song of Ice and Fire" series (the Game of Thrones books), Tolkien's Middle Earth (including the "Rings" trilogy), Leo Tolstoy's "The Kingdom of God is Within You," Pyotr Kropotkin's "The Conquest of Bread," H.P. Lovecraft's works, and other cosmic horror.
Heroes	biggest heroes as a musician include: Chuck Schuldiner (Death and Control Denied), James Hetfield (Metallica), Jules Conroy (FamilyJules and Thunderforge), Jack Fliegler (ToxicxEternity and Singularity), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), and Woody Guthrie (folk singer). outside of music, some people i look up to include: George R.R. Martin (author), Wolfychu (artist), Abigail Thorn (philosopher), Dan Arrows (historian), and Damon Garcia (the people's theologian).

About me:

Oh! I can type stuff here. That's cool. I guess I should write something. Okay. Here goes. (I'm afraid I don't know much about HTML, so I won't be using it heavily just yet.)

Musician. Gamer. Weeb. In that order. Those are the main points. I do some work in sound and hold a Bachelor's in Media and Communications from a certain university in Baltimore, Maryland.

I've also been studying music for several years now and even hold an Associate's in it! For a little over six years I've been playing with a death metal band based out of Maryland, and also have a small project of my own covering music from video games.

On the gamer side, some of my current favorites are the Atelier Ryza series, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and THE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED MMORPG FINAL FANTASY XIV, WHICH HAS AN EXPANDED FR- you know what, I'll just let you look into that one. (I'm also active on Twitch now under the name EmoShep. That's neat I guess.)

As for the weeb stuff, I don't think I have to explain that part. I really like anime and manga and all the stuff attached to it. That's all! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at this profile. You're a real one.

(I suppose if I were to be really specific, I'd love to meet other metalheads who are also gamers who are also into anime and manga and are also into videography and are also into art and are also into philosophy and are also into history and politics. But that's very specific, and not everyone is going to have all of those interests, so... anyone really.)
