General

The local convention/performance scene makes up most of my social life these days (well at least when there isn't a pandemic on). I'm a huge guitar gear head, a total Japanophile, and just kind of a nerd in general. I've also been on a massive 2000s nostalgia trip lately, if that wasn't obvious.

Music

Anything 2000s emo/alternative/pop-punk (take a wild fucking guess what my favorite band from that era was), heavy metal in all its glorious forms, a bit of classic rock and old school punk

Movies

Alien, Scott Pilgrim, anything from Pixar or Studio Ghibli, and I'm a total sucker for found footage horror movies

Television

Mostly a lot of anime, though I have been known to watch the Inbetweeners on endless repeat

Books

I don't really read like I did when I was a kid, although I'm still a huge fan of the Cthulhu mythos. And also the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels. And I have been known to spend a little too much time reading random SCP pages.

Heroes

I also don't really do "heroes." I might be a fan of someone's work, but unless I know someone personally it's kind of hard to judge their character. Although Fred Rogers was apparently the real deal so I make an exception for him.
