I just watched that entire live set at The Senn uninterrupted, and again I have to say it was wonderful.I also caught that "Lens Of A Wool" segment, where you did your song "Emperor's New Clothes". I thought it was going to be a Sinead O'Connor cover, but I'd rather hear an original anyway . Great song.Where did you learn to sing like that ?Again, just because I growl like an ape, doesn't mean I can't appreciate real singing !Here's a documentary about Victoria BC punk rock that was actualy named after a song I wrote ages ago, and my band is briefly in it as well. I'm so glad you liked it! Good eye on the Emperor's New Clothes Sinead reference- I was so into her growing up and that song was written this year and was completely inspired by her tune. I taught myself to sing, just growing up walking around wherever I lived and belting out tunes as I walked... lots of Wilco and Nina Simone and Howlin Wolfe. Nowadays, I study music in Liverpool but beyond that it's just what I've always done. Glad to hear you dig it and I'll defo check out that doc tomorrow. |

Your songs are beautiful and thoughtfully crafted. Wow... that made my night- thank you so much! You're welcome ! It was just an honest response to how I felt when I heard your music.I'm happy you appreciated it.You may not have the same admiration when it comes to my yelling and hammering on the guitar like an angry ape, but it's still coming from a place of passion and dedication. It's cool if you're not into it though.Much respect to you. Thank you again. Yoooo that shit is heavy! Makes me miss the pit pre-rona haha. Who plays lead on that stuff? Really tight stuff. Dig Wrong Side of the Law and Smarmy Little Fuck, has all the good stuff of classic stuff but with a heavier vocal edge- who're yer influences? Groovin to this dude! Defo gonna be singing Wrong Side of the Law for a while.... My friend Kent does all the lead guitar work, and he's extremely talented. He can do everything from classic rock to his own material, metal, whatever really. Ah, very cool- love a lot of those names! |
