OK, this section will be updated in steps. Whew! ASHTON NYTE - in every musical shape, incarnation or form - be it his solo material, The Awakening or any side project or collaboration. Everything that this Artist does I am simply inhaling on the cellular level. Cigarettes After Sex - anything, almost anytime. Gothic Rock: The Awakening (ha!), classics like Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Clan of Xymox, The Merry Thoughts (!!!), Love Like Blood, London After Midnight, Suspiria, XIII Stoleti; lately I am drawn to tiny twists on the typical sound - so I currently have a huge The Beauty of Gemina phase. Lacrimosa - ALWAYS. Very selectively, some electronic sounds: I LOVE Diary of Dreams (especially stuff from and before "One of 18 Angels"... ...now I'm aging myself), I love SOME Diorama, I love some good Deine Lakaien. I like Wolfsheim and I may tolerate some VNV Nation on a good day, but if I hear ync-ync-ync-ync-ync-ync I am turning into a very cranky Goth and it is not pretty. Depeche Mode ("Violator" and later). Old metal from the neighborhoods of gothic and doom metal: Paradise Lost, Moonspell, Type'o'Negative, The Gathering (Anneke), Theatre of Tragedy, Therion, Amorphis. LOVE Nightwish (with Floor Jansen); more recently discovered Solstafir that I am totally enamored with. Arcturus. Caspian. H.I.M. (aka Gothic Bon Jovi ;) ) if I want musical equivalent of strawberry ice-cream. Some trash when I am in a mood for it - and since I was always in the "Dave camp", Megadeth is my default band (that nasal sarcastic shriek always makes me feel better, I cannot help it ;) ) Good 80s to dance the butt off too. If Caipirinha is good, I may end up dancing on the table. Artists without whom my world of music would not be complete: Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, The Doors, Queen. |

"Perception" (Eric McCormack, Rachel Leigh Cook) - probably one of the most intelligent TV shows, too intricate to carry on - discontinued after 3 seasons. Law & Order (SVU and "original") - I can binge watch these shamelessly. |

To have brunch filled with laughter, a touch of insanity and bottomless Mimosas - Marco Hietala and the rest of the pack. Throw into the mix Nick Holmes with his dry, off-the-wall sense of humor (love it!) and we are staying there till dinner and beyond. To have relaxing, casual but insightful chat about fashion, while scrolling thru Central Park and drinking Frappuccino with mandatory whipped cream and chocolate syrup - Tim Gunn.

Oh, that's fantastic! They are one of these so-awesome-but-so-underappreciated bands! Happy that I did not lose you at Ashton ;) and it looks like I had you before you even got to metal section which you said you liked, LOL! So what's in your music rotation lately?... I just added latest Nick Cave, which in my opinion is quite amazing...

I do like Nick Cave and recently been listening to Grinderman. I tend to pick up new stuff to listen to on Spotify and BBC Radio 6.
