I actual just finished listening to your entire album on Spotify. Reminds me a bit of Radiohead. I think you should get yourself a producer and make a full production of it. I love the chill feel. It was honestly an amazing album to Justen too after a good workout. Exactly what I needed at the moment! haha

Ahhhh that is the highest compliment to compare me to radiohead; Thom Yorke is muh favorite. thank uu thank uu; but yeah my recording quality is kind of a joke; but I've been refining the janky art of recording with a mobile phone xD I really just want to get a good mic. Any recommendations?

For sure. AT2020 is easily the best budget microphone out there. Hit up a Walmart to get foam board and a $10 mattress pad and make a mini vocal booth. Basically just make a wall behind and on either side of the mic with the foam board, and toss a blanket over it and yourself to avoid sound reflection from above or behind you. It will sound amazing. My song, Not My Life, was recorded this way on this mic, and I also used a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. It's the best quality budget set up you can get. :)

You should also look into producers online, Many can be found on reddit. I'm working with a producer all the way in Argentina. I've also got a local producer friend to help me with some standalone singles, as well as the vocals for the album tracks. It's a good time.

Wow, thank you so much! That is super in depth, exactly what I needed. Definitely going to look into all of that. Truth is with the producer thing is i'm stubborn af about doing as much as I can on my own. I enjoy production :3 I'm sure itll be my downfall :p yeah, this is really just an album of demos more than anything, but its me trying my hardest with what I've got.

Try not to stand in your own way. You can get bitchin quality albums while still participating in and learning about production. You should put quality first, and continue practicing production. Eventually you'll be good enough at production to do it all yourself. Another great thing about working with a producer is that they'll bring in a second mind that has a different viewpoint and new and interesting ideas. I always maintain that my songs are only made better by working with others. :)
