What would you consider as "good writing" for films? Now that is a very subjective question. Honestly for me as long as I feel vested in the central character(s) and the story has really good arc and something I can visualize in my mind. To me visuals are a character in itself. That usually is what I'd consider a good story. I've read a lot in my little bit of time here on this tiny blue dot and Bukowski, Poe, Lovecraft, Palahnink, King and good ol' McCarthy are some of my favorites off the top of my head.
