General

Writing (or trying to), Reading (or trying to), watching film, collecting media, talking too much about things I have little understanding, unregulated eating, taking the worst photos known to man (I look great in real life, I don't understand), meaning to do things and getting distracted AGAIN!! Playing games. I like underdogs and unpopular people (not bad or hated, just less liked) and things.

Music

I remember, a few years ago, I was walking to town, which was a long walk, with my future wife. It had been snowing for a couple of days. That quiet sort of snow where you can't hear a car or person for miles, even in a city. It was early evening, thick snowflakes falling gently around us. I was listening to an album, a soundtrack as the snowflakes fell, and I shared my right earphone with her. We listened to the gentle plink plink of the music as we watched the world just quietly happening. And for a brief moment, the world was perfect.

Movies

I have a podcast that looks at film series and other media, the main conciet is that it puts all the media into an overall timeline with actual world events to create a full timeline of everything. Right now we are going through the x-men films. I like films that make me feel less alone or show a take on reality that is, honest and yet ridiculous. Comedy, most that isn't too populist (populist is fine, its just often it can be trying to please so many it loses something) Horror, but mind over splatter (Although i like some splatter from time to time) and all other types. Withnail and I, Clerks, my neighbour totoro, momento, the young offenders, doctor strange means something to me, Tokyo godfathers, the thing, they live, a ghost story, exorcist 3 legion, alien 3 (both cuts), ringu (although the ring is ok), eagle vs shark, royal tenenbaums. i'm sure there's 100's more.

Television

we watch things in chunks here. Closing out a watch through of star trek the next generation ( which will include the films) Just got and watched all of stath lets flats, the country, early doors. Most of what we do in the shadows. some of the new adaptation of The Stand, some of Ghost in the shell stand alone complex (1st gig), watching along with Wandavision (I think this is doing some really special things with television as a medium.) 15 Stories high, Parks and rec, Jessica Jones (means a massive amount to me) Again I'm sure there's stuff I've missed.

Books

Loop, koji suzuki is in the works, as is the first fifteen lives of harry august. I have Bonfire by Krysten Ritter waiting in the wings, along with the Devine comedy, The dark tower 1, content provider. I'm also listening to the complete Sherlock Holmes

Heroes

Heroes are overrated. But I admire people who do all they can to help others who need it. who lift others up instead of knocking people down. Those who love and care without thought.
