Well, I'm not gonna say much on the 'they were actually enjoying it a bit.. kinda' part because my family absolutely suffered with it, being otkaznik and all. It was not a good time and none of my family members that are still alive have anything good or even decent to say about it, at best they'd say that any enjoyment was purely derived from not knowing any better or having anything to compare. And nay, I moved away five-ish years ago. As for English, I never tried to learn it, I guess watching a lot of english dubs of power rangers and playing WoW as a kid really helped me become the monstrosity I am today. |

Well, I always say we have a foot in the commie blocks and another in the crash after those went down. Music in Russia is always slow to evolve, so the popular synth bands from the 80s like Альянс still have their own share of bastard kids that are popular nowadays. |

I like some russkiy doomer music myself, this being one of my all time faves. As for most doomer songs, the lyrics range from stereotypical 'uh oh i'm sad' to 'the love of my life just died, time to drown in sewer water'. |
