Yeah, absolutely! The pleasure's all mine :) I'm only a few episodes in but I really like it so far. Such an interesting plot. The style of it too reminds me of the Ni no Kuni video game series if you've ever played those. What kind of anime do you usually like? That way I could recommend some to watch ^__^

I loved Ni No Kuni even though I sadly never finished it. An amazing tear jerker for sure.
I like all sorts of anime. Anything from Akira to Fruit Basket. Lol. I’m here for it all.
And also game recommendations! I love jrpgs and any kind of exploration/dungeon crawling- I love it.

Yessss, it’s a phenomenal game! I finished the first one but didn’t finish the 2nd game. I have a really bad habit of buying games, especially RPGs/JRPGs all at once and then sometime, not even opening them to play them

Ahhhh Akira is one of the GOATs! That was one of the very first anime I ever watched when I was younger! That and Ghost In The Shell, and Neon Genesis Evangelion were a couple of my OGs! I’m sure you know about Persona 5? I’m really BIIIIG into that and am currently playing Persona 5 Strikers. I’ve always loved the Hyperdimension Neptunia games and I’m super stoked on Tales of Arise coming out soon!

Ohh, and an anime I think EVERYONE should watch is Angel Beats. It's a little different, not so much a thriller but I really loved the whole theme of it. It's funny, cute, heartfelt, and has a really good story. I definitely reccomend you check it out. : )

awh awesome!!! i'm writing all these down, thank you!! i just finished the last ep of death note this morning so i'll be looking at something else pretty soon. have you ever seen steins;gate? i think that might be my favorite. sci-fi, modern, philosophical, thriller - also it has time travel stuff but i promise it's the good kind. great story and characters, funny but also really emotional (hope you like CRYING), great music. it's pretty short too, iirc just a couple of seasons.

I haven't watched that yet! I'm gonna start it tonight :) I'm pretty sure I've seen that it's on hulu.
I think if an anime makes you cry, that means it's DANG GOOD!
Another good thriller type is B: The Beginning. I felt like maybe there was a bit left out that they could've gone over just for lore and story but I really liked it over all. The characters were really neat and had a realness to them.
And check out Angels of Death- it's an anime they made off of a video game! It's awesome and I LOVED the characters.

Ooo OOOoo OOOoo!!! No Game No Life is defintely one of my favorites. It's freaking hilarious, a bit ecchi at times xD but it's really good. I love the premise of the story. A world where everything is decided by games!

imagining light breaking a pen becoming a plot point now lol. i have never done cosplay but i've played live music at a bunch of cons! never been to comic-con though. MAGFest is the one ive been to the most, every year (except this one) since 2006 haha. it's more gaming and music oriented but it's huge and there's just piles of cosplayers and everything else you might expect. have you ever been to any other conventions?

You're welcome! And things are plugging along over here. I just got to spend part of my lunch break in the back yard with my family since it's sunny, if a bit cold, so that was nice. Getting outside is a balm for my desk jockey-weary soul most days. But it will be spring soon, so there's that to look forward to.

You and me both. Thanks to COVID and having a baby not long before all this started, we haven't had an actual vacation in almost two years. We've taken a couple day trips to the coast though, and you can bet we'll be doing a lot of that in the coming months once the weather's better.

That's exciting that you're making plans! Hopefully they'll come to fruition. I have to think things are finally going to turn a corner and people will be able to do more things this spring/summer now that people are getting vaccinated and such. I'm hoping we can resurrect our annual trip to California to see family and some of the sights, especially in nice weather.
