1. The Binding of Isaac

easily the best game I’ve ever played. The addicting gameplay, fun mechanics, delicious religious imagery and theming, all wrapped up in an amazing package. Absolutely CLEARS any possible competition. 

2. Super Smash Bros. Melee

idk I’m a huge fan of fast and technical games such as this. I love all the jank. I love the community, and I love learning more about the game. I personally main Ice-Climbers, they are my children.

3. Sonic CD

oh my fucking god dude the environmental storytelling, the explorational gameplay focused around controlled and intentional speed, and my FUCKING GOAT METAL SONIC. When you make good futures, you can see the world develop and react around you, and it feels so good! Not to mention the BANGER ass soundtrack. (Stardust Speedway Bad Future my beloved…)

4. TES II: Daggerfall

I’ve always been a huge fan of DnD, and fantasy games as a whole. The Elder Scrolls is a series I love, and my favorite game in the series is Daggerfall. I love the customizability of the player character. I love making my own spells. The story is compelling, and it’s a great world to get lost in, with amazing world building throughout the series.

5. Dark Souls II: Scholar of The First Sin

I’m in the middle of my first play through for this game, no spoilers please! 

I love how difficult this game is. It’s not unfair, because it places all of the blame on you. Every time you screw up or die you have nobody to blame but yourself. This can be frustrating, but it’s healthy, because it makes every inch of progress you make feel so much more rewarding and meaningful.

1. WhatchaCallItsName - decoyman1200

okay so I just listened to this song last night and I’ll be honest I cried my eyes out over it. The context of being an adult with unresolved emotional connections to people I’m no longer in contact with, that tends to manifest as keeping a lot of seemingly pointless objects and trinkets,(literally me…) and it actually hit me so fucking hard. That’s the reason it’s up here, because it hit me really hard and it felt really good for someone to finally express what I’ve felt for so long. So it’ll probably be off the list after a bit. 

2. Dirty Drowning Man - Primus

I love Les Claypool, greatest bassist to ever live imo, and that extends to Primus, with their amazing bass lines and funky sound and lyrics. 

3. Katamari - femtanyl 

I’m not really sure what to say about this one, I’m just into femtanyl, I really dig her, probably just a big part of trans culture comes down to music like this, violently expressing the desire to live.

I love this book so fucking much it’s going to get its own essay long blog post just yapping about how awesome and amazing it is. It is the first book in my entire life to challenge me, and make me look up words I didn’t already know. I still find myself coming back to this book at least bi-weekly to delve into its secrets some more.
