THE STORY SO FAR: Hallam Foe initially started as a drum and guitar duo project of Gilang (Guitarist/vocalist) and Lewi (Drums) in mid-2020, which at that time was still using the name Weloveprison. It was only after Nisa joined as vocalist while we were working on our first EP recording that we decided to look for a new name collectively, and we both agreed to choose the name taken from the title of the Scottish drama/romance film, Hallam Foe. Why did we choose that? Nothing... it just sounded cool... lol Since we were formed in 2020, we’re blending dissonant riffs, volatile structures, and emotional intensity. Drawing from early 2000s metalcore, the band channels a mix of controlled chaos, shifting energy, and emotional valence.
