kissing in the dark, picking flowers, writing poetry, finding/watching old movies on the internet archive, fireworks, collecting cds, smelling the yellowed pages of old books, striking up conversations with strangers and reading anything that i can find.

i suppose that if i had to sum up what my general interests are, i'd say that i have "no fear of depth and a great fear of shallow living". i do anything in my power to make life interesting.

the doors, lana del rey/lizzy grant, nina simone, billie holiday, the soundtracks of jacques demy's films... i'm super fond of 1960s folk music as well.

donkey skin, belle de jour, secretary, gilda, scarface (both versions!), daisies, and god created woman, girl interrupted, belladonna of sadness... anything with barbara stanwyck in it, also. i really liked her in 'baby face'.
