Jake's Blurbs
About me:
"You can't change the feeling, but you can change your feelings about the feeling in a second or two."
Hello! I'm Jake, but you can also call me Jakob. I spend most of my time either watching movies, listening to music, writing or dabbling in photography. I enjoy collecting records, cds and dvds. I'm also pretty interested in fashion, and my own way of dressing is inspired by a bunch of different eras/styles. (I particularly like twee and any clothing from the victorian era to the 60s. In general, most things that are considered 'old-fashioned' appeal to me.)
I currently study Film, Sociology and Religious Studies (philosophy, ethics, christianity). Though, next year I'll (hopefully) be studying Archaeology & History, with the hopes of becoming a museum curator or something similar.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who's interesting and wants a long-term friendship. As rude as it may sound, I don't have the energy for baseless friendships or conversations nowadays.
I really hate small talk, so please don't just message me saying hello. If you do contact me, have something in mind that you want to talk to me about, and bring it up in your first message. Please also be patient with me! I might take a while to respond or make mistakes in my writing from time to time. My brain is a jumbled mess, and it makes it difficult to keep up sometimes. I'm trying my best, I promise.
Also... I desperately want someone to play Outlast Trials with, so add me if you're interested!! :-)
I think DNI lists are silly, but please know that I think you're completely stupid if you believe that fiction doesn't affect reality (this also includes people who have a mindset of "dark themes in fiction = it must be romanticising/endorsing those themes!") and I'd rather not be friends with you if you hold that belief. Besides from that, I don't care who adds me. If you're a well-rounded, intelligent person with decent morals, we will get along just fine.. even if we have different opinions!

Love the profile. What are some of your favorite photos youve taken? Thank you, yours is great too! I'm honestly not sure if I have a favourite, but I took a photo of an old church when I was in Bournemouth a few years back, and I ended up quite liking how it came out. I also particularly liked a couple of photos that I took of my friend for a project a few months ago. If you're interested, I might post a blog with all of my landscape/nature photography in the future. |
