General

i love making art. like. LOVE it. to the point where i refuse to accept a career choice that doesn't involve art. i wanna be a creative director. but my main problem is being too talented so it's pretty hard to decide lmao. best struggle ever btw. i have so much stuff to nerd out about. i make physical art in a ton of mediums, digital too sometimes, i make my own music from time to time. obviously personal projects to pass time :) i can play the guitar and the piano to some extent. i have a LOT of ideas for fashion that i never really get the time to really explore much. being a student is honestly a distraction from what i really wanna do. most people would say the opposite. i spend most of my time either playing my instruments, going through deep internet rabbit holes, listening to music, drawing, or taking walks to think about how cool it'd be if i was on stage in front of a million people. i know where i stand but my confidence is what pushes me to keep going.

Music

kanye west (AKA god), the beatles, tyler the creator, a$ap rocky, kali uchis, nirvana, childish gambino, anri, A LITTLE FAYE WEBSTER, my chemical romance, lauryn hill, radiohead (though i wouldnt consider them as good as people say they are), kendrick lamar is pretty good, i liked foo fighter's debut, daft punk, honestly anything bossa nova. laufey leans a little too pop for me but she's pretty good. i love lisa ono. kaede and lamp too. FRANK OCEAN IS OVERRATED. THERE'S BETTER R&B TO LISTEN TO. voodoo by d'angelo for example. tidal by fiona apple slays. HARD. brat was a great album before it got overplayed to death. bruno mars can go hard as hell when he wants to. i love his tribute work. animal crossing music would be my character's background music if there were a movie about me. ngl i still got a TON of music to get into. i love it. its like crack.

Movies

anything tarantino. everything i say is a tarantino reference in a way. robert pattinson is my favorite batman. dont really like nolan movies. they're impressive technically but do they have impact? for me personally, no. oppenheimer was a decent watch ig. so was the prestige. i'm really into ghibli movies. not just for the beautiful use of color, but for how they create contrast with the good side of humanity and the real world. whisper of the heart is one of my favorite movies of all time. not ghibli, but perfect blue rocks. i'm not too deep into rom-coms. not because of the cheesy romance. i think fun romance can be done so well if executed right. except they rarely are. all i ever wanna see is a true grounded love story with interesting characters. not some notebook garbage. kimi no nawa and whisper of the heart are the closest i've seen. nothing more beautiful than a japanese romance. like music, there's a lot of film i need to explore more. my top four rn are the end of evangelion, perfect blue, whisper of the heart and pulp fiction. this is excluding CBM movies. if we're including those, the top four is dominated by spider-verse and tobey maguire's spider-man LMAO.

Television

im more of a movie over shows guy. i love the office tho 😭 I LOVE EVANGELION IT IS THE GREATEST FORM OF MEDIA TO EVER EXIST. MISATO IS GENUINELY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER. i resonate with her a TON. most of the television i've watched is from more than a year ago. teen titans 2003, spectacular spider-man, the office, friends, blend S, attack on titan, tokyo ghoul, evangelion, chainsaw man, invincible, the first 3 seasons of the boys.

Books

haven't read a ton. do plan to read more. norwegian wood is great tho. i find no longer human overrated. VERY overrated. i get the time period and the real life events that happened but even then, you're telling me people read this book and found the absolute loser of the protagonist interesting to read? again, i know he's not meant to be likable in any way, but stop pretending like you didn't fall asleep 3 times reading this book. 100 pages felt like 500. weird, but i only read books by japanese authors. not sure why. maybe because they're more soft spoken.
