Welcome! I’m an eclectic monochrome freak who is an 18+ girl that goes by the name of Pearl. I also go by any imaginable variant of my social media handle, wingedwhisperer. So, if you want to call me “whispiecide” or some other stupid name, go for it ❕❕ I genuinely will not care as long as it’s all in good fun.
When it comes to my practical occupation, I am a university student majoring in physiology: the study of how the body + its systems work. ❕❕ I’ve never had a job but I plan to become a professor or an echocardiographer depending on where my path leads me.
I dress in a fully black and white style I consider to be minimal alternative + a bit androgynous, with some elements of scenemo and goth. 🤍 I don’t particularly like to stand out as much as I like to cultivate my own identity through a curated style. I love layering tees over long sleeves as well as wearing a lot of my jewelry creations and platform Doc Martens. ❕❕
My special, all-consuming interest is vintage barbershop quartets from the 1960s-1980s, specifically Far Western District quartets and SPEBSQSA champions from that time. I collect barbershop vinyls, CDs, and physical memorabilia like original press photographs of quartets that interest me. ❕❕ I’m not the biggest fan of modern barbershop (purely a stylistic preference) but I can be seen listening to 90s barbershop occasionally. 🤍

And Chick Webb was a genius! The tune was written by two teenage sisters and it is about rock and roll that was being played in the clubs.
