General

It's easier to say what I dislike over what I like. However, for the sake of the curious out there, I like various fanfic and original literature of varying genres. I also like sweets, soup, and multiple aesthetics that I can never wear because it's a fucking nightmare to do so in the Philippines. If you leave a bag of Lays out in the open, I will eat it. If you leave me in a room filled with nothing but Lays (and the occasional cold water to lubricate my throat), I will gorge myself until I am full and collapse in a food coma.

Music

My taste in music hinges on whether I like the beat or not. You could blast traditional Chinese music into my eardrums where I won't understand a single thing the singer is harmonizing about, and I will still break it down. So in essence, it's not the artist I'm focusing on (although I will be looking forward to their works often based on discography) but rather the music that they're dishing out. Most of that is solely because I need theme songs for my OCs and want to imagine them in fanarts like it's a Windows Movie Maker video on YouTube.

Movies

It's been a hot second since I watched movies. Anyways, here are some that I remember vividly and quite enjoyed (with commentary! Wow): ◈ Bram Stoker's Dracula - even though I hate the Mina and Dracula romance and how it designates her as the damsel despite the original novel giving her a surprisingly more feminist role, I still credit this gothic baddie for what inspired my queer romance novel (which exists to subvert and examine the tropes of this film....) ◈ Shape of Water - helped me realize that yes, I truly am a monsterfucker and admirer of all things unloved by conventional society. ◈ Land Before Time - best dinosaur film, and along with Jurassic Park, is why I also love dinosaurs even to this very homosexual day ◈ DnD Honor Among Thieves - hilarious, and exactly what a session would be like. I say this as a dabbler of the TTRPG ◈ Percy Jackson - it's trash in terms of adaptations, BUT: it's the reason why I got into the book series to begin with! It inspired me to read what the hell is even going on with this kid and his gay Greek adventures in modern America.

Television

True to my neurodivergent essence, I hated live action TV series and wanted animated ones, so I've been dodging anything with real people in it for years. As an adult indulging my angry teen self of things deprived from them, I'm watching the following: ◈ The Ancient Magus' Bride - 2018 me was in a dark place, and this anime saved me. It helps that it's got exactly the kind of wish fulfillment that comforted me, even for a moment. ◈ Helluva Boss - what a whiplash, but it's true; I came for problematic gay imps and their messy office drama and whatever the fuck Blitz and Stolas have. I'm tired of family friendly corporate gay rep insisting that being a good gay is enough to keep the bigots from shooting me. ◈ My Little Pony - it's....been awhile, so I don't remember the plot but why do I still love this show lmao; what can I say, I love horses. I'm a horse girl (gender neutral).

Heroes

People are disappointing so idk. I don't like putting people into pedestals and being disappointed that they suddenly became a TERF when I blink for a moment.
