Hobbies

I love modding! My modded 3DS XL is my pride and joy, I have a PS Vita that I love and a Wii U that is kinda janky but hey I can play Nintendo Land. My plans for the future are to hardmod an iPod 5.5 gen, probably flash mod + USB-C + re-shell.

I love to play soccer! I play as often as I can, usually once or twice a week. I like supportive roles, defense and central midfield and I like to set up passes and set up goals rather than score. I am a Tottenham fan #COYS

I'm a big proponent of harm reduction, of reducing consumption, vegetarianism, consumption of meat reduction, car-free living, just living in harmony with our beautiful world. I'm also a big proponent of playing!! I love to play, I play board games and TCGs and go into nature and I think if you can regularly play with others, you're gonna be great.

Movies have been such a huge part of my life for my whole life! I went to film school and I'm now working in film. My favorite movies are Cemetery of Splendor, Past Lives, Lost in Translation, Bend It Like Beckham, La La Land, Kiki's Delivery Service, Blade, Juno, Moonstruck, and Buffalo 66!

Books

Don't even get me started. I read so much! Normal People, Fangirl, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, the Grishaverse, The Hunger Games books, All About Love, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Looking for Alaska, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, I LOVE BOOKS!!!

I try to be a very conscientious user of technology! As much as any of us can in our modern capitalist police surveillance state, I prioritize privacy, safety, ad-free browsing and also do all of this while balancing the digital world with the real world.

My pretty basic privacy setup for personal use starts with Brave, a browser that works really well for me. There are some complaints from the De-Google crowd (of which I am a part) that it's still using Google's Chromium OS, and that's valid, but I do want to balance privacy with usability as if I were trying to be truly private I would just use Tor all the time. Brave has a ton of built in privacy features and anti-tracking measures, a fantastic adblocker natively built in, and it doesn't run nearly as heavily as Firefox did for me. I love Mullvad VPN, super simple, easy, and secure. Really great UI/UX like so incredibly simple and easy to use and $5 a month is more than affordable for most people, especially given there are no long term obligations, you just do month to month! Most of the other privacy tools and checkup systems I use are from the Electronic Frontier Foundation who are absolutely wonderful advocates for digital liberation.

I am also just a big fan of the Web Revival Movement, and sites (like SpaceHey) that are pushing for that and for webcrafting and personalization! Webcrafting sites I love: StatusCafe, MelonLand and the MelonLand Forum, and iMood in addition to just browsing Neocities and nekoweb.
