nature feels like the only thing that doesn’t look away when I’m falling apart. flowers lean toward the light but still keep a little shadow in their folds, like they understand. the trees breathe slow, patient, like they’ve seen worse storms than mine. the wind pulls at my sleeves, the dirt holds my weight, and for a moment the world doesn’t feel like it’s trying to spit me out
