About me:

I go by Genesis / Kia / Venus / Morte / Evigheden — but you can call me whatever you like!! I’m a 19-year-old non-binary, and I use all pronouns.

I spend most of my time at work or university, but in my free time I love reading, playing video games, watching movies and TV shows, and studying things unrelated to my degree. Recently, I've even been getting back into making art and reconnecting with my hobbies after a long time.

I work in sales, though I'm planning to start working with body piercing and tattooing soon. I'm also currently getting my degree in History with a teaching focus.

I have a voracious curiosity and study all sorts of things just for fun. I've always been fascinated by History — though ironically, now that I’m majoring in it at university, I avoid studying it like the plague. That said, I absolutely love diving into topics like philosophy, sociology, politics, psychology, anthropology, theology, astronomy, coding (OMG!!!), biology, languages, and the arts in general. I’m absolutely terrified of anything involving numbers — thank you, dyscalculia — but I still force myself to study STEM subjects, mostly out of sheer stubbornness and a desire to overcome my weaknesses. I’m also a certified Environmental Technician, though it did dampen my enthusiasm for subjects like geology, ecology, meteorology, and climatology. Turns out that the quickest way to make me lose interest in something I love is to turn it into a requirement. Funny how that works, huh?

I have generalized amnesia and that has always felt really bizarre to me. At some point I became obsessed with recording everything — and now I’m kind of addicted to it. I take photos like my life depends on it, I write random thoughts, make messy collages and weird little albums, rate and review every piece of media I consume and draw stuff before my brain decides to delete it all. It’s not quite the same as remembering — but I adapt and reinvent myself however I can.

Reading is one of the things I do the most. In general, I'm drawn to dense books with heavy philosophical and psychological themes — which is exactly why I love Russian literature so much.

When it comes to video games, I enjoy soulslikes, horror in general — especially survival horror and psychological horror — and anything with a strong narrative focus.

I’m a bit more flexible with movies and TV shows than I am with books or games. I’ll literally watch anything that has a halfway decent plot, some nice aesthetics, and well-developed characters.
