Researching and doing projects on Chernobyl and The Elephants Foot consumed my life during school so I appreciate the mention.
Also theres few things better than HouseMD and Lord of the Flies

Question: How did you find the Lord of the Flies films? I've only ever read the novel.

Hello!
Yesss, I really love learning about man made disasters and grimy things of similar nature.

Lord of the Flies is one of the books that made me really fall in love with literature. For the question about its movie adaptations, I just stumbled upon them! I read the novel for the first time in middle school and fell so in love with it. I just dug around trying to find any extra content that existed...

I know a lot of people had to watch the 1999 adaptation for their highschool English classes (at least in U.S), but the 1999 version sucks imo. I could talk about my disdain for it all day, but I'll spare you LMAO. HBO max has the 1963 version available (the last I checked), but it's probably uploaded elsewhere. The 1963 adaptation isn't perfect, but it captures the novel much better (in cast, in narrative, and thematically). It's a little slow, but I would definitely recommend a watch if you enjoy the book!
Additionally, I would still watch the 1999 adaptation, just for the experience...
