General

I really love arthropods, primarily arachnids and myriapods tho, my favs are scolopendra gigantea, and the mint legged centipede which are both centipedes (they belong to the scolopendromorpha, which is a species of centipede) I also really love the archispirostreptus gigas, the largest millipede today, located in Eastern Africa, they also have an ancestor called Arthropleura which grew roughly up to around 8.2 feet long (which was in the Carboniferous period) millipedes have two pairs of legs on each body segment, and centipedes have one pair of legs on each body segment and I adore the tanzanian red legged millipede, which as said in its name, has striking vivid red legs, and a shiny black body, also centipedes are a carnivorous species and will eat roaches, insects and have even been known to eat small rodents, bats, and even birds, however is has been recorded that centipedes will eat fruit, while millipedes feed on dead plants. Centipedes use venom to paralyze their prey, although that sounds scary a centipede's venom can only cause swelling and irritation, much like a bee sting, and are not life threatening, UNLESS allergic.
