Hi! I'm goingthrough my friends list trying to get a little bit of rock and metal into everyone's tastes and/or add to the bands they already listen to

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what I ought to recommend you since I've never heard of Mitski or Laufey, but after looking at their discogs pages, I think there's a chance you may like the band "Elvenking;" they're a folk metal band with very heavy influence from pop music; taking into account what kind of music Mitski and Laufey make, you should definitely start with the album, "Two Tragedy Poets," assuming you decide to check Elvenking out.

Alright, glad to see that! Now, "Gloryhammer" and "Nightwish" are probably strong chance. Also- "Helloween," especially their 'Keeper of the Seven Keys' albums.

Moving back towards the folk focus, I gotta mention Spellblast and Feuerschwanz. Spellblast focuses on the more modern folk tales and Feuerschwanz started as a comedic folk rock band (they've taken a more serious and metallic turn in their more recent albums), but the vast majority of their music is in German.
