I've recently been enjoying All Quiet on the Western Front (although since I'm reading it for school it's the Swedish translation.) I'm also trying to read Fire Punch by Tatsuki Fujimot since that guy is just something special, ans my friends heavily recomended I read Is Love the Answer by Uta Isaki.
