I'm a guy who loves retro games, cool old stuff, and generally weird things. I'm also an indie game developer, but I haven't made anything SUPER cool yet.

Yeah but my definition of 'good' is not necessarily the same as everybody else's lmao.
When I'm bored I like to just open some shovelware or pre-2000s id archives wads and see what it's like. Usually you get what you expect, but sometimes you find some real gems and some wads have cool ideas even if they're bad. It's good inspiration.
