Emerald Skull

General

Besides rotting in my bed, I play guitar and piano mainly. But I can also play bass and drums, or virtually any stringed instrument. Though I have not conquered any bowed instruments... yet >:) Other than that I am into TMA, Resident Evil, BSD!!, DnD, traveling, fashion, alternative subculture, Wendigoon and subjects that would/have been covered on his channel, and watching Youtube video essays while eating dinner.

Music

I like a lot of different types of music, some of my favs are David Bowie, Hozier, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Alex G, My Chemical Romance, Fleet Wood Mac, Paramore, Jeff Buckley, The Smith (don't worry it's on sight for Morrissey), Joy Division, and the Arctic Monkeys/The Last Shadow Puppets (if yk yk). There is a LOT more that I love to listen to and I'm always down to chat about music regardless of genre. Though, if you are in to jazz please hit me up I would love to get more into it!

Movies

I love to watch good movies, and I am an absolute sucker for media analysis. This being if you asked my what my favorite movie is I'll be a bit stumped. Generally though I enjoy anything that is thought provoking but I prefer things that have more of a psychological approach behind them.

Television

My two favorite TV shows of all times are the X-Files and NBC's Hannibal. Shout out to Gillian Anderson she has to be my favorite token middle aged actress. I also have recently loved Our Flag Means Death, Good Omens, Blue Eyed Samurai, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Yes I am a survivor of SuperWhoLock, no I have not grown out of my Doctor Who phase. DAVID TENNET IS BACK!!!

Books

As someone considering taking on English as a second major, I do love me some books. Out of all time my favorite is the Color Purple. If you haven't read the book, it's life changing and so moving, I 10000% recommend. Though please look up the trigger warnings for the book because it does deal with some very heavy themes. Also poetry is just lit. As an overgrown theater kid I read plays for fun and I also believe modernly that the literary value they hold (outside of Shakespeare) isn't appreciated enough. Authors/Poets/Playwrights I like are Fyodor Dostoevsky, Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespeare, August Wilson, Sappho, Richard Siken, Carl Philips and Donna Tartt.
