Music

[current song playing is age of consent by new order] some of my favorite artists include elliott smith, jeff buckley, sufjan stevens, placebo, mcr, kendrick lamar, mitski, bjork, basically anything that is a sad man singing a sad song on a guitar, the beach boys, t.rex, the velvet underground, elton john, queen, green day, prog rock, classic rock, indie alternative, and much much more. (music history is one of my hyperfixations, lol!) i also enjoy some broadway stuff, but it's been awhile since i've dug my teeth in. most of the musicals i like are ones that were released prior to 2010, with the exception of hamilton and six. (still haven't listened to hadestown or waitress, even though people are always asking me that :P) all time favorite musicals aside from hedwig have gotta be next to normal and les mis!

Movies

fav movie is hedwig and the angry inch. love the prince of egypt, cry-baby, rhps, repo: the genetic opera, kill bill vol 1, carrie (1976), childs play and other cheesy cult classics. generally love any movie where the plot is absolutely ridiculous but the actors still go 110% percent and are sooooOoo serious about it (i.e the barbie movie SPECIFICALLY for ryan gosling as ken and, one of my other all time favorites, the josie and the pussycats movie with loml alan cumming)

Television

MOREL OREL. my roommate is getting me into GOT which ik will ruin my life eventually. south park is also a guilty comfort show of mine.

Books

i am a lover of non-fiction, specifically music biographies and stuff about bands. i also generally love learning abt stuff in a non-fiction book format, it fascinates me. some of my fav fiction tho includes angels in america and perks of being a wallflower. (i'm getting back into reading, it's been a very long time!)

Heroes

MR ROGERS, elliott smith, jeff buckley, OSCAR WILDE, anne frank. i generally admire people who are able to find happiness even in the darkest of times, and people who exude true kindness.
