General

I am a songwriter and I make coffee for a living <3 Music is my main interest but I do a lot of crafty stuff. Addicted to nostalgia in many forms- lately, my focus has been on mid-2000s fashion, music, movies, and other forms of media (the part of my childhood that I wish I had back). I have been getting into anime and manga a little bit- I recently bought the first edition of Demon Slayer UPDATE- it is amazing! I started Hunter x Hunter and I think it is also adorable :)

Music

Any rock circa the 60s-2000s, my favorite being pop-punk, grunge, post-grunge, punk, post-punk, some metal, and nu-metal 60s-70s folk music, alternative folk, alternative country Specific bands/artists that stand out: Chiodos (my favorite emo band), The Used, Twenty One Pilots, Paramore, A Lot Like Birds, Talking Heads, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Days of the New, Downface, Korn, The Cranberries, The Sundays, REM, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Beach Boys, The Everly Brothers, and many more :)

Movies

all decades, I enjoy rom-coms, thrillers, action, dramas I love Wes Anderson films, Cameron Crowe, Martin Scorsese, Charlie Kaufman, and Kubrick. Some favorite, yet quite varied, movies that come to mind are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Girl, Interrupted, Fried Green Tomatoes, Benny and Joon, Shutter Island, the Man in the Moon, Love & Mercy, Sense and Sensibility, Elizabethtown, For Ellen, Rebel Without a Cause, and Almost Famous.

Television

I have always enjoyed Dr. Who, especially the David Tennant era I enjoy The Walking Dead even though it's over I used to watch Skins and Degrassi I like 70s tv like Sanford & Son, Columbo, and iconic 90s shows like Matlock and Walker, Texas Ranger. Please feel free to give me anime/show recommendations as I am a total newbie.

Books

modernist literature- Marcel Proust, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and T.S. Elliot. Some of my favorite poets are Wordsworth, Elliot, and Poe One of my favorite books is The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane, also, Life on the Mississippi by Mark Twain, and Great Expectations by Dickens. My favorite novel for English classes so far has been No-No Boy by John Okada.
