i love jellyfish , did you know some might be immortal YES!!!! It's turritopsis nutricula but in fact, she isn't REALLY immortal... Biologically she is, because she can "come back" to her polyp state, but in reality, the number of pretadors and the context of the sea may kill her... so even turritopsis nutriluca can't really survive to death. I don't really have a favorite since I find them all unique and interesting but I do love lovee the Flower Hat Jellyfish !!!!!! Their colors are cool and their main diet is smaller fish and krill, it isn't life-threatening to humans but their stings yikes quite painful ! Ohh, it's true that they're cool, they remind me of anemones... For me, the level of threatening a certain specie represents isn't important, jellyfish are uniques in their formation and development, one of the most dangerous animals because of some species, i find it truly fascinating. The fact that one little organism can kill you in a matter of seconds, an organism that havn't brain nor blood, that is composed of 95% to 98% of water, can kill a human body in some seconds... that is just fascinating. |
