duuude fall/winter 2000 hits to heart for me mainly because I’m a sucker for inuit and yu’pik clothing and art. It’s Hard to pull off cultural diffusions in such hyper political times like these but I think work like this is a courageous love letter to cultures like these; that may have been around since the ice age;

yes, i am a september virgo ! i'm just a year late but it is still a really neat connection. you have to do that with your birthday now. interestingly, i didn't grow up seeing that type of aesthetic and ethos, so my attraction to that collection is more cosmic than nostalgic.

the big skirts kind of remind me of galliano's ss94 show which i think was wuthering heights inspired. but yohj yamamato's collection reminds me more of anna karenina or what they'd wear in yakutsk.
